This table and these chairs in the garden.
Family mostly hate them I rather like them.
Does it look odd?

I like the chairs, I can't help thinking they would look "better" around a larger table, maybe something more rustic or industrial looking like a wide planked table or something metal? It's all personal choice though isn't it. I just personally wouldn't put the table with those particular chairs:m. Did they come as a set?

I think the table look like an indoor table and it may be too high for the chairs if you plan to eat there but if you like the set up who cares what anyone else thinks?

I think I they look too mismatched. Like an indoor table that you've just stick in the middle of four outdoor chairs.

I thought the table was an indoor one at first glance. I think the colour's wrong and it needs to be black, or at least have something colour wise tying it in with the chairs.

The table looks like an 'indoor' kitchen table and the chairs don't go with it at all (and are horrible!)

Chairs look annoying to try and eat a meal in as slope backwards. OK for drinks and snacks.

They would look more of a set if you sorted some accessories. So maybe yellow cushions on the chairs? Or black plant pot in the middle of the table?

I'd make a black and white check table cloth and clip it on with those clip restaurants use.

Tbh I wouldn't choose the table or chairs, but I could live with it if we didn't want to spend money replacing it

I'd chalk paint & lacquer the table grey to go with the new patio as I really don't like that very yellow colour wood.

But it really doesn't matter what we think, just how you can compromise within your family (assuming you mean others that live there)

Agree I think the table looks weird and too small for those sort of chairs in my personal opinion. Although I love the chairs, I would wonder like a PP if these are better for casual sitting around and get something more upright to actually sit at the table and eat. If you are sticking with these chairs forthe outdoor table I agree a larger table in a different colour would look a lot better and be more practical. However, I would also say that style is very subjective so if you love it, who cares what other people think?

The table looks weird, I thought it was a wooden indoor table at first.

The table is yellow metal, which isn’t obvious in the photo, but will be in rl.

I think it looks great. The yellow cushion/black plant pot idea is good too.

Those type of chairs don’t really work as dining chairs, they are more suited for lounging with a drink so would be better with a low table. It looks like you have just used your kitchen table with them. Sorry!
