Bought a lovely Victorian flat with my partner however the previous occupant left this truly awful painting. Am I being unreasonable to just throw it away? Partner seems to think we could sell it! I just want it gone as it’s giving me nightmares just looking at it.

DH is an ardent visitor of regional auctions. He has bought all sorts of really dreadful stuff. (Including once, accidentally, a broken piano), and a set of ceramic figues we call 'The Uglies'.

It's like a teenagers 'angry' contemporary art version of his 'Visit To The Head's Office', after being told off for something he'd done. Overly angsty and exaggerated for good effect in the telling of what was done and said to him by the head, as the teacher pinned him down by the throat so he couldn't escape (when in actual fact all that happened was a quick chat and a phone call home to mum!)
