To throw away this painting - with pic

Bought a lovely Victorian flat with my partner however the previous occupant left this truly awful painting. Am I being unreasonable to just throw it away? Partner seems to think we could sell it! I just want it gone as it’s giving me nightmares just looking at it.

Just advertise it for sale or for free, someone might like it? Is it signed?

Three actions in this order:
Ask the EA to let the owner know and ask does he wish to have it collected by the end of the week.
When he says no, tell your partner he can sell it if he likes but if it isn't gone in 10 days you'll throw it out.
Throw in out.

Turn it to face the wall after photographing it and ebaying etc. If not sold, get rid.

Thanks to the OP's name change people are missing her update that she put the painting outside last night and it has now gone, so no point in any more suggestions as to what to do with it.

Nah. It's just the stopover point prior to Limbo in Sweden and then catching a connecting service either onto Finland (Helsinki - airport code HEL) or Poland (actual village named Hel).
