Amazon Prime, Netflix, wherever. I need something to get us through the rest of winter because my work is depressing, my baby is exhausting, my cat won't leave me alone, and lockdown is forever.

What sort of things do you like?

PolarnOPirate · 27/01/2021 20:04

I started Cheat today on Netflix.

Other Netflix:

My go to is Modern Family I just fucking love it.

Any of the murder stuff - Night Stalker etc

Also, Blown Away - there are 2 series, it’s Bake Off but glass blowing and American 😃 it’s heaven and episodes are only 20 mins or so so really easy to fit in!

A podcast but The Apology Line

LAgeDeRaisin · 27/01/2021 20:05

Lots of things- thriller type programmes like The Night Manager, crime dramas like Line of Duty, period dramas like Poldark/anything Jane Austen/Downton etc. Things with good characters. Enjoy medical dramas like House and G. Anatomy.

Sorry that doesn't narrow it down much!

Also we’ve recently got Discovery Plus which has loads of low brow docs 😄 we mainly use Netflix, hayu (ladies of London was thoroughly enjoyed by both me and DH), and Disney plus.

And Below Deck and Married at First Sight Australia, obviously. If you haven’t ever seen any of those then you’ll have loads of catching up available to you!

FirstladyKirkman · 27/01/2021 20:07

Designated Survivor on Netflix.

It renewed my love affair with Kiefer Sutherland!

BrigitsBigKnickers · 27/01/2021 20:08

Succession is one of the best things I have seen for a very long time.
This is us- also amazing

Roussette · 27/01/2021 20:08

The Serpent on iPlayer is brilliant.

You need a strong constitution to watch it. True story, well done.

Deinosavros · 27/01/2021 20:09

I was late to watching The Crown and just binged all 4 seasons of that.

Currently watching the Queen's Gambit on Netflix which is good.

For easy, light relief I'm watching 8 out of 10 cats does countdown on the channel 4 app.

Resistthethoughtpolice · 27/01/2021 20:11

Peaky blinders is on Netflix. If you haven't seen it I'd definitely recommend.

Needhelp101 · 27/01/2021 20:11

Bridgerton on Netflix! It's a trashy Jane Austen, with some extremely hot men.

GoodnightKevin · 27/01/2021 20:13

Another vote for Discovery+. I bought it because I love ghost hunting shows and 90 Day Fiancé, which Discovery+ has an abundance of. They also have a million murder documentaries, cooking shows etc.

For something lighthearted you could try It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (Netflix), Broad City (Amazon Prime), the US Office (Prime). I just finished watching Truth Seekers on Prime too, which is Simon Pegg & Nick Frost's latest project (more ghosts - a definite theme for my tastes)

shouldistop · 27/01/2021 20:13

Bridgerton for some trashy goodness or designated survivor is good

YouWontBelieveYourEyes · 27/01/2021 20:17

Bridgerton, Sex Education and the Crown are the things we have binge watched.

LAgeDeRaisin · 27/01/2021 20:20

Damn! I've asked DH about Designated Survivor but he has already seen it. Outrageous!

I think all the ER series are on channel 4. I'm currently bingeing greys anatomy on prime, have enjoyed Bridgerton, the crown, sex education, Virgin river and gilmore girls on Netflix.

ac73 · 27/01/2021 20:21

This is us

dublingirl66 · 27/01/2021 20:22

It's a Sin channel 4 ❤️👌🏻

cavemums · 27/01/2021 20:23

Dark on Netflix German with subtitles
To the lake on Netflix - Russian

The barrier on Netflix - Spanish
Money heist on Netflix - also Spanish

All bingeworthy

Staffy1 · 27/01/2021 20:23

If you want a light comedy, try the Corner Gas séries on Amazon prime.

Marmozet3 · 27/01/2021 20:24

Vikings.

MissVanji · 27/01/2021 20:30

I have a 4 month old and can't watch anything too heavy that needs my constant attention, as so does my 4 month old. Just started watching Superstore on Netflix after finishing Parks and Recreation on Amazon Prime. Both light hearted easy to watch and not need to see every second of when you're popping out to grab a bottle or through a diety nappy outside etc. Would recommend both highly+

PolarnOPirate · 27/01/2021 20:31

Ooh! Also looooove and wish there was more of
Bonus Family
Rita

Both on Netflix and both foreign but soooo comforting.

misslomi · 27/01/2021 20:32

The Last Kingdom on Netflix is the best show I've watched in ages! It's about the Vikings. 4 series in total.
