Are they exempt or in a bubble or something?

Not watching currently but they generally look as if they are because the camera puts them both together not because they actually are.

ExclamationPerfume · 13/01/2021 10:15

It's a split screen. They are 2 metres apart.

Calmandmeasured1 · 13/01/2021 10:15

I've just had a look and they are close together. I think, even if they are in a support bubble because he lives alone, it would be better to show them 2 metres apart (as presenters are in other shows). It would just reinforce the message about social distancing.

vodkaredbullgirl · 13/01/2021 10:16

split screen

Sparklingbrook · 13/01/2021 10:16

I am going to have to get out of the bath and have a look.

Akire · 13/01/2021 10:18

Some angles show them far apart but then when they both need to be on the screen same time they look like next to each other. It’s just camera tricks.

Lastfreakinglegs · 13/01/2021 10:20

Further question. Is there programme really essential? No mask wearing, guests etc.

OP posts:
vodkaredbullgirl · 13/01/2021 10:22

Don't watch it then.

Usually the people they interview are on video calls.
I don’t think there’s any rules surrounding what shows are essential. It’s not essential to watch but I guess there’s lots of people stuck at home who enjoy a bit of lightweight television.

ncccc2 · 13/01/2021 10:23

post on cv board.

ExclamationPerfume · 13/01/2021 10:23

@Lastfreakinglegs yes the programme is essential. There are millions of people who don't speak to another person for weeks at a time. They have had phone ins where elderly people have said how much more bearable the lockdown has been watching This Morning. Some people shielding haven't been out of the house since March last year.

MissBaskinIfYoureNasty · 13/01/2021 10:25

Oh goddddd does the frothing never stop

Sparklingbrook · 13/01/2021 10:26

I want to go and look but my bath is too warm. Grin

LucilleTheVampireBat · 13/01/2021 10:26

Oh to have this much free time.

Lastfreakinglegs · 13/01/2021 10:26

Hmm seems to be different rules for celebrity to the masses.

No I'm bloody sick of it.

Really should come off mums net but I've found some great support here too so 😕

Right I am getting out of the bath. To see if Holly is actually sitting on Phillip’s knee. He had better be.
Hotcuppatea · 13/01/2021 10:28

Get a life.

thismeansnothing · 13/01/2021 10:28

As others have said....it's a split screen

Lastfreakinglegs · 13/01/2021 10:30

We can't even send our kids to school but they can come on and talk about fashion tips etc.

JazzyGeoff · 13/01/2021 10:31

They use split screens, the majority of their guests are via video call, and I'd say that it is essential viewing for a lot of isolated, possibly lonely viewers out there.

Personally, I wish they'd drop the woo 'my hamster predicts the future/I married a ghost pirate/ I speak to the unicorns' bollocks but that's just me.

Not getting the comparison. Apples and oranges. Loose Women is on at 12.30, doubt they’re essential either. But can be entertaining.
