Carole Middleton the ultimate mum raising a future queen?

I'm currently reading Harry & Meghan's book Finding Freedom... Meghan's parents particularly Doria have been applauded for putting such an emphasis on Meghan's education, ensuring she got into an expensive Catholic school & ensuring she worked very hard at school...
Surely the Middleton's should get the same praise but they were ridiculed & accused of being upwardly mobile... Kate & Pippa both attended excellent universities so they obviously worked very hard also..
The other parents in the girkd private school weren't too complimentary about Carole either with snipes about the girls uniforms, sports equipment etc too perfect. I reckon the other parents were jealous.
In my opinion Carole has done an amazing job raising out future queen & should be given more credit...

If you grow up to be a decent human being with kindness and empathy, I'd say your parents must have done a good job, regardless of your social status.

In Meghan and Harry’s book (which I suspect is likely to be positive about Meghan and Harry), the praises of Meghan’s mother are sung.

In the British press (who are notoriously shit with digging up non-stories and opinions from nobodies), Kate’s mum was slagged off.

And not only that but they are also just opinions. And actually whose opinion matters with regards to Carole’s parenting? Surely only her children and husband’s? Maybe another relative if they for some reason needed to get involved.

I'm sure she's a perfectly decent mother who wanted the best for her offspring. Although personally I wouldn't agree that marrying the future king is in any woman's best interests.

I'm not sure she deserves any specific praise for having raised a daughter who married a prince though.

Also the criticism for Carole and Kate came from the British press, not her daughter or family.

The British press might've been fairly mellow with Doria, but they had plenty to say and criticise about Meghan. So swings and round abouts really.

Looking at the end product, I think Carole did the better job.

I wouldn't say the press has been particularly favourable to Megan.

The existence of a book that is probably PR driven praising Megan's mother doesn't have any impact or detract from Carole's mothering skills. It's not a competition.

Maybe don't read the gutter press. I can never understand why people do. It's hate filled crap with a healthy dose of racism, sexism and xenophobia.

I got confused by two threads.

I think the press has been a mixture of good & bag which is to be expected.

Ultimate mum. What did she do really? She raised two fairly decent girls that married well, and managed not to have them hate her in the process. There's hundreds of thousands like her in the world.
