I'm sure there are some Republicans that prefer vote by mail. There is a regular poster on these threads who has a Democrat leaning friend in US whose husband takes her mail in ballot and fills it in for HIS choice of candidate

I imagine Trump's doctors have been on an equally sharp knife edge over the last 24 hours trying to balance his medication.
I suspect a large dose of tranquilliser was given last night to stop him tweeting.

The markets seem happy with the result. A split government means no extreme tax hikes or cuts

Trump's lead in Georgia is down to 18,500 votes.

It carries 16 EC votes.

There's roughly 220,000 votes left to be counted.

Jaichangecentfoisdenom: I think a minority of people are attracted to extremes and can have their intolerance amplified out of any proportion by the way much of social media operates. Reasonable people look at this and either retreat or keep their heads down to avoid being attacked by online mobs. This then bleeds out into the real world to some degree but most people aren't interested and are also motivated to keep quiet.
