To feel sorry for Trump?

I’ve name changed for this as I know I will get completely flamed. But AIBU to secretly feel a little bit sorry for Trump? He campaigned so hard for this election compared to Biden and seemed to put his absolute all into it.

The amount of hate he gets on social media is astounding - I honestly don’t know how one person can handle all that and keep on going. I would have had a nervous breakdown or worse by now if I was on the receiving end of that.

His kids clearly love him and they seem alright - perhaps he’s not so bad behind the scenes? I think losing this election will destroy him as a person and whilst I don’t agree with his political viewpoint, I can’t help but feel slightly sorry for the guy.

AIBU?

This is one of the most bonkers posts I've ever read. The man is a dangerous narcissist who wants to do away with democracy, he literally doesnt give two shits about anyone but himself. Even if he doesnt win (please god) it will take a generation or more for the US to recover from his hate. The man makes me genuinely terrified.

GiantKitten · 04/11/2020 22:09

He fancies Ivanka (ewwww) and Don Jr & Eric are revolting. They all take what they can get. Used to think Tiffany was ok but she looks to have bought into the corruption too now.

I'm hoping Melania will take Barron away & give him half a chance of growing up untainted.

thecatsthecats · 04/11/2020 22:10

Try watching the video of him mocking a disabled man, and try repeating how you feel sorry for him.

I don't waste my time in sympathy for vile specimens like that.

Kissthepastrychef · 04/11/2020 22:10

I really really want Joe Biden (when trumps final challenge has been dismissed) to say
"You're fired Donald"

tartanti · 04/11/2020 22:11

I’m glad Biden is going to win because I think he’s a good person and I like him. But I can’t help feeling sorry for Trump at the same time. I felt really sorry for Theresa May when she left office too, and David Cameron - despite not agreeing with much of their politics. What is wrong with me?

He wants woman who abort to be in imprisoned

@TroysMammy

What happened to that wall he was going to build?
I think 400miles has been built.

This election is close. We appear to unanimously think he's despicable and embarrassing but millions of Americans don't Confused

wildthingsinthenight · 04/11/2020 22:12
Biscuit First ever one. You are being unbelievably unreasonable
Stripesnomore · 04/11/2020 22:12

I am not completely against everything he ever did.

But there’s really no need to worry about him being upset. He had the hide of a rhino.

friendlycat · 04/11/2020 22:12

You need help OP

tartanti · 04/11/2020 22:12

He fancies Ivanka (ewwww)

What happened to that wall he was going to build?

The Mexicans have built it themselves to keep him and the COVID out...

Cameron got exactly what he deserved. He ran an awful campaign and left us in this mess. May, I agree, was treated very badly.

Sorry for trump - never in a million years
Echobelly · 04/11/2020 22:13

Nope, not at all sorry for him. He has no pity or even empathy for A.N.Y.O.N.E else. Hundreds of thousands of people have died unecessarily because he didn't like Covid-19 making him look bad so he decided to ignore it, and now he's had a mild case, he's shown no recognition that everyone else's experience isn't the same as Donald J Trump's, because that's all that matters.

JaffaCake70 · 04/11/2020 22:13

@Shehz21

Biscuit

My very first one.

Please explain, I'm new-ish and I've seen this a few times now :-)
CherryPavlova · 04/11/2020 22:13

No right thinking person can possibly feel empathy for the narcissistic, criminal who appeals to the fears of others. He the antithesis of democracy and brings disgrace to the position of leader of the Western world.

shesgonebatshitagain · 04/11/2020 22:14

I pity Trump
He is an absolute husk of a man, a father, a president, a human being

Do I feel sorry for him
Not one bit

He wants you to buy into this construct so he can continue to bank your doubt and shit all over the world

I would personally like to see him locked up in an institution for the criminally insane

GetTheDoorFrank · 04/11/2020 22:14

I feel sympathy for you that you feel sympathy for trumpty dumpty 😂😂

audweb · 04/11/2020 22:14

@tartanti

Why is that silly? He’s publicly said if she wasn’t his daughter he’d want to date her. And a few other things I can’t remember. He’s vile.
thecatsthecats · 04/11/2020 22:14

I'm not going to lie, I do find people who display THIS lack of discernment and judgement aren't the lovely kind positive people some think of them as.

I tend to think of them as either dangerously naive apologists or the worst kind of virtue signallers who hold their very lack of ability to exercise judgement of personality as if its a virtue in itself.

(and I hate polarised politics)

Kissthepastrychef · 04/11/2020 22:14

I didn't feel sorry for Cameron. He stirred up a whole pile of shit then ran away like a child when it didn't go his way

Jellykat · 04/11/2020 22:15

Please dear god, let the dementor slunk off back to the hole from whence he came..
You can't feel sorry for an evil Narc, you just can't..

Iamnotminterested · 04/11/2020 22:15

COME ON JOE!
