To feel sorry for Trump?

I’ve name changed for this as I know I will get completely flamed. But AIBU to secretly feel a little bit sorry for Trump? He campaigned so hard for this election compared to Biden and seemed to put his absolute all into it.

The amount of hate he gets on social media is astounding - I honestly don’t know how one person can handle all that and keep on going. I would have had a nervous breakdown or worse by now if I was on the receiving end of that.

His kids clearly love him and they seem alright - perhaps he’s not so bad behind the scenes? I think losing this election will destroy him as a person and whilst I don’t agree with his political viewpoint, I can’t help but feel slightly sorry for the guy.

AIBU?

Trump?
The trump who said members of the military who were killed in service were losers?

The trump who called John McCain a loser then flat out denied he'd said any such thing despite there being an actual video of him saying it?

The trump who mocked Elizabeth Warren by nicknaming her Pocahontas?

The trump who said covid figures were low if you just ignored the blue states?

The trump who retweeted anti muslem tweets from Britain first?

The trump who bragged that he could just grab women "by the pussy"?

The trump who praised white supremacists, calling them very fine people?

The trump who told police not to be "too nice"?

The trump who supported separated children from their parents and basically putting them in cages?

That trump? You feel sorry for that trump?

Yeah, going to have to vote yabu on that one, sorry

Fatted · 04/11/2020 21:49

I really have seen it all now. I really have.

TicTacTwo · 04/11/2020 21:49

Yabu

Save your sadness for the American people who are going to live with weeks of uncertainty and chaos when Trump takes this to the Supreme Court which is stacked with Republicans.

Disappointedkoala · 04/11/2020 21:50

I think losing this election will destroy him as a person

Perfect. That would be the best news in 2020.

NameChange84 · 04/11/2020 21:50

I feel sorry for all the people whose lives he’s fucked up through his callous policies, his bare faced lies, his dishonesty about finances and life in general, his lack of a moral compass and his narcissism, racism and misogynist views.

All the work he put into his campaign? Spreading Covid about and encouraging his followers to en masse?

Are you actually serious or is this a joke post? Would you feel a bit sorry for him if he grabbed YOU by the pussy? Do we just excuse sexual harassment and assault now?

Lipz · 04/11/2020 21:51

You are feeling sorry for a Racist, Bigot, Bully boy 😳😳 you really need to watch him, listen to him, and it's very clear that this man has no feelings, he only cares about himself.

AriettyHomily · 04/11/2020 21:51

Have you had a bump to the head?!

middleager · 04/11/2020 21:51

Is this a joke?

Defenbaker · 04/11/2020 21:52

OP, YANBU to feel compassion for him, even though he seems to lack compassion for other people and appears to be a power mad psychopath.

You sound like a caring soul who tries to see the good in people - there's nothing wrong in that. I have seen interviews from people who know him well, where they've said he can be kind and caring to those close to him, so perhaps he has a softer side, but he puts on a brash public persona to appear tough and business-like. I don't think he's half as bright as he thinks he is though, and he seems to be mentally unstable... so I hope Biden wins. The problem is that he's 77 - I'm not sure of the wisdom of a system which allows someone of that age to be POTUS. Then again, Kamala Harris has youth and energy on her side, so maybe the two of them will make a good team, if they get into the Whitehouse.

Rosehip10 · 04/11/2020 21:52

Hi Donald....

Come on OP - this is a wind up right?

Smartiepants79 · 04/11/2020 21:52

Nope, nope, nope.
He is a deluded and dangerously unstable man.

OrangeBananaFish · 04/11/2020 21:53

I don't much about American politics. Not sure what the republicans or democrats stand for. The only thing I know for sure is that he makes my skin crawl. I can't look at him.

Cheesypea · 04/11/2020 21:53

Are you on crack. Dear god I hope your a troll. He separated children from their parents in detention centres.

InFlagranteDerelicto · 04/11/2020 21:54

Any woman, any person of colour or ethnic minority, any US citizen who can't afford healthcare, anyone who's fallen foul of his many & varied vile policies over the years - before & after he got into office - should fear him if he gets into office. Not feel sorry for him. He's a dangerous idiot.

Benjispruce2 · 04/11/2020 21:54

Omg no! Hoping for the best 2020 news that the racist, sexist, idiot can no longer poison society with his vitriol.

DarkDarkNight · 04/11/2020 21:55

No sympathy whatsoever. He’s made a joke of democracy. Ran for president for publicity, had no idea of what he was actually getting in to and didn’t care to find out. Has used and abused his position at every turn. I hope he and his family get what’s coming to them.

MadameBlobby · 04/11/2020 21:55

I feel sorry for the people who will develop Covid and die as a result of his criminally irresponsible rallies

For the American people who have to tolerate this giant man baby

For the hundreds of thousands dead of Covid that Trump doesn’t care about

So no. I don’t feel sorry for Trump at all.

Cherrysoup · 04/11/2020 21:55

Yeah, him and his super spreader rallies, I feel well sorry for the complete fucking tosser.

Figgygal · 04/11/2020 21:55

He’s a disgrace to the office of president as are his lies spewing sheep that are talking about fraud like Rudy guiliani

He will tear the country apart on his way out if needed he cares he’s not about himself and his empire

Yohoheaveho · 04/11/2020 21:55

Yabu

nancybotwinbloom · 04/11/2020 21:56

No. Not even a bit. He's vile.

Vile views
Vile morals
Vile
Vile
Vile.

Cosmos123 · 04/11/2020 21:57

Is that you Daily mail?

Bouledeneige · 04/11/2020 21:57

Have you had a fall and hit your head OP?

Watch the Trump Show on BBC iplayer and tell me you think he's a great guy.

Lex345 · 04/11/2020 21:58

If you mean Melania, YANBU.

If you mean Donald, you misspelled contempt

BrightYellowDaffodil · 04/11/2020 21:59

YANBU, OP, because no-one ever likes to see a nasty, racist, misogynist bully get handed their arse publicly.

Oh, wait...
