.... you can stick your fucking Tier 3 up your arse. Sideways.

If I can flout it, then I fucking well will!

I’m so embarrassed for you

@emilyfrost Are you really? Please don't be. I don't wish my meltdown to cause you any issues!

@NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace

I can't spread a fucking virus that I haven't got.
Unless you get tested every goddamn day, you can never be sure you haven't got it.

Plenty of people have been asymptomatic, but been infected. My DSS's lodger was perfectly well, but was routinely tested, because he's a paramedic.

He tested positive. Thankfully, DSS, who has T1 diabetes, was fine.

Don't risk others health and lives just because you can't be arsed to comply. No-one likes this, but most of us are sticking to "the rules" and enduring it, because we're not selfish arseholes.

Badgerbadger22 · 21/10/2020 17:08

@NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace do you know what - I think that’s fair enough!

I think 2020 is so entirely shit and I don’t even know what I’m thinking anymore - all I know is I want to swear. A lot GrinHalloween Smile

PS Robert Jenrick - what a cunt!

VinylDetective · 21/10/2020 17:10

I think it’s fair enough too. Your posts on this thread have brightened my day @NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace.

clarepetal · 21/10/2020 17:12

Op I'm with you. Fuck this shit, I'll respect the rule in public and in my job. I will respect other peoples opinions, but the government have done such a shit job. If we had a decent track and trace we wouldn't be in this awful mess (as well as other aspects). I will risk the fine and see my family, I followed the rules before and cannot do it again.

LakieLady · 21/10/2020 17:13

@NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace

And I stand by my 'sweary rant'. We have people at the top who have absolutely no idea what they're doing!
On your last point, I entirely agree.
WokesFromHome · 21/10/2020 17:26

I agree with ClarePetal in that I will follow the rules in public and at work but I will be circumnavigating them and bending them, hopefully legally to see our families. We will just come up with out of the box ways to see them.

GetOffYourHighHorse · 21/10/2020 17:50

'Other posters, this poster is having a moment. A bit of support please.'

You say this ^ then go on to say:

'that I will follow the rules in public and at work but I will be circumnavigating them and bending them'

Well of course you want to give the op a head pat, you're a flouter too!

Look the 'rules' aren't there just to make you miserable. They are there for a reason, so you know those with medical problems, overweight people, black and ethnic minorities or older people are protected.

So have a lovely time 'bending' the rules. Clearly you couldn't care less. Well done you.

How depressing that people are using their anger at Johnson as a get out clause for doing the right thing.

HeIenaDove · 21/10/2020 17:56

Its inhumane and completely unsustainable to keep expecting people to keep not seeing their families.

VinylDetective · 21/10/2020 18:03

Not as depressing as Johnson fucking up so comprehensively.

buzzbuzzbumble · 21/10/2020 18:08

My first thought was that you are a selfish idiot OP but on reflection I agree with you.

The government has got is totally wrong. This virus will be around for years, they need to be honest and say some people will die from it (like they do of flu, cancer) but most won't.

If you are old or otherwise vulnerable you must make a personal decision whether to shield or not, and the rest of us get on with doing our jobs and living our lives.

midgebabe · 21/10/2020 18:35

But that approach kills the economy and the nhs.

Cancer services are being cancelled again due to shortage of beds and staff

The virus will be around for years but vaccines and treatment will significantly reduce its severity

'If you are old or otherwise vulnerable you must make a personal decision whether to shield or not, and the rest of us get on with doing our jobs and living our lives.'

You are being incredibly naive. It isnt just 'old or otherwise vulnerable' people that suffer severly with it. There have been 40 and 50 year olds in ICU that the only 'otherwise vulnerable' thing they have is they're fat.

So it isn't just a case of conveniently locking older and vulnerable people away, it is understanding that barring the under 25s who don't seem to suffer badly with it, any one of us could end up with pneumonia gasping away on a rammed medical ward. If to reduce the chance of that we have to follow the restrictions then why on earth wouldn't you. Well I know why, because for the flouters it's just too inconvenient.

Dee1975 · 21/10/2020 19:03

Op - With that attitude that’s prob why your in a T3. Not the governments fault. Your fault because you can’t follow the rules / want to break the rules / look for loopholes. What do you want the government to do? Allow Covid infections to rise at a more alarming rate and put pressure on the the nhs which = more deaths?
Get over yourself, this isn’t about the government putting you on a lock down for the fun of it. It’s because of a bloody pandemic.

Op has already said she's not broken any rules so can you explain how its her fault they're in t3??

Yes and I'm in that category myself, but lots of fat 40 and 50 year olds haven't died either and I'm willing to chance it. It's an incentive to lose weight too

alphabetsoup1980 · 21/10/2020 19:14

You're right! The better person WOULD do all they can to protect themselves and others! I hope you're joking about not adhearing anymore.... I know it's frustrating and mentally challenging but we are all in it together

Me too. 67 and fat. I’m really not in the least risk averse.

Were not all in it together though are we? Not in the slightest.
KyTrippy94 · 21/10/2020 19:21

Man, we may aswell all kiss our freedoms goodbye. Seriously! I had post natal depression the first few months into lockdown.. nobody gave a shit. Not to mention the countless people the NHS has condemned by not treating them due to this bs. And all the harm caused in bloody care homes. All of it is causing more harm than good! But hey that’s my opinion. Lol

Please don't tout this sort of blame game. The daily mail would love us to think this is all the fault of irresponsible idiots filling pubs. That's not true.

The Financial Times got it right when they said it's about 'the sheltered rich and the exposed poor'.

The reason tier 3 areas are in tier 3 is that they never got the numbers down far enough. Because these areas are lower income with many more people employed in face to face with the public jobs - retail, cab drivers, or in factories with minimal Covid measure. Fewer people in jobs they can work from home. Overcrowded housing etc.

The government would love this to be a moral failing on those areas badly hit. It isn't. It's a moral failing of the government.

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 21/10/2020 20:04

@Dee1975

I'm not the blaming the government for the pandemic. I'm accusing it of making a shit show of managing the situation.

Any which way you look, it definitely isn't my fault. I've stuck to the rules. All of them. At the time of writing, I still am. So your evidence for convicting me for moving my area into Tier 3 is flimsy at best.

But hey, feel free to let me have the case for the prosecution.

'Because these areas are lower income with many more people employed in face to face with the public jobs - retail, cab drivers, or in factories with minimal Covid measure. Fewer people in jobs they can work from home. Overcrowded housing etc.'

Fascinating. Who knew GM and Liverpool were the only places with shops and taxi drivers. There really is this myth that up North they all wear flat caps and live in poverty.

As a pp said this second wave occurred when super spreading students returned to uni. Going by the flouters on this thread many people cba with restrictions any more and like to shrug their shoulders and blame Government. It's the Brit mentality sadly.
