.... you can stick your fucking Tier 3 up your arse. Sideways.

If I can flout it, then I fucking well will!

I am sick to death of people like you, moaning, crying and carrying on

If we all did this we really would be up shit creek without a paddle

All of us have issues, lots of us would love to return to normal, but we also accept we are in the middle of a pandemic and it changes all the time

It’s world-wide, just look at what other countries are doing

But hey you crack on then, flout the rules, catch Covid, I don’t care, all you will be doing is making it worse for everyone else, and we all end up in full lockdown again because of selfish people like you

Meadow1203 · 21/10/2020 13:34

I repeat read the Barrington Declaration. This virus is here to stay, lock downs do not work. This Government are ridiculous and don't start me on the Scaremongering media. Stop believing lies. Someone upthread asked for scientific proof TGBR is that.

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 21/10/2020 13:35

How do you know you don't have it and can't pass it on? Lots of people asymptomatic.

Look, to be honest, I don't. But, with no symptoms, it's not likely ..... if we're being sensible.

Would be?

The water is suspiciously brown and I haven't seen a paddle round here in some time... Smile

@REDLIPSTICKANDNAILS

Thank you. The abuse is of no consequence to me. So someone wishes I catch Covid and die? Meh. I either will. Or I won't. That person's wishes won't have any bearing on that.

I'm just doing what I need to do to get me through. As are many others, it would seem.

@NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace I hope you’re okay - this pandemic and these lockdowns are messing with the mental health of so many. Are you able to treat yourself to something to cheer you up? Nice hot chocolate or bath bombs or something? Sounds daft but they always help at least sugarcoat a crap situation for me.

You’re feeling a perfectly normal way to feel, when faced with an incompetent government and even more uncertainty surrounding the future and our freedoms within society. Nasty, spiteful comments from the likes of @ReggieCat reflect more on them than you, so please don’t take it to heart! It’s really clear to be honest from reading your posts you don’t really intend to flout the rules (at least not in the mass murderous way some posters believe) and that you just needed to vent. Flowers

I have read something that says what I want to hear so I am going to believe them against all over evidence. Ok.

I think it's pretty terrible anybody is getting abuse on here in all honesty. Where are the mods? It's like schoolground bullies at times. I every day see views I don't agree with on MN. I would not dream of resorting to insults or personal attacks.
Depressing stuff.

Chevronsoup · 21/10/2020 13:49

You sound like a child. HTH.

Bookrat · 21/10/2020 13:49

Some people feel themselves to be more at risk from the virus and some feel that they are more at risk from the anti-virus measures. I understand both those things and can see how they are both true depending on individual circumstances. What I can't see is how you'd pick just one of those viewpoints out as selfish. They both are or neither are.

For what it's worth OP, in my family (young adults with pre-existing mental health conditions deriving from autism) it is not covid that presents the most danger, it is the response to it. I understand and sympathise with your position.

Thank you so much. You're so spot on with that. No, I don't intend to run round the north of England infecting anyone. Yes, I did just need to vent. Thank you for listening Smile

Your comment can be turned on its head: you have read something you don't want to hear to you will refuse to believe it despite overwhelming evidence that it is correct.

MiddleClassMother · 21/10/2020 13:54

You sound completely ridiculous. The rules are there for a reason, because people aren't listening and the cases are rising...

midgebabe · 21/10/2020 13:54

in the case of the GB declaration, I don't think I a, ignoring overwhelming evidence to indicate that they have a clue!

Yes, look at Sweden - no lockdown, nothing closed, very low Covid rates.

GetOffYourHighHorse · 21/10/2020 13:58

'when did we become so weak....its embarrassing disabled people are shining through this pandemic, they are showing us (from what i've seen in my community and in my work) how its done....you carry on and see it through, not give up at the first hurdle.'

So true, some people wibbling on about the most moderate of restrictions. Disabled people have to cope with challenges every single day.

Op. Grow up.

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 21/10/2020 14:01

Midge I believe science and facts, here are a few for you#
Covid is less deadly the the flu
Dec 2017 to March 2018 50,100 deaths, 1969 there were 80,00 deaths, to date 50,00 covid
Covid poses virtual zero risk to under 45's you are more likely to be struck by lightening.
Covid poses very small risk to 60 yr olds you have a greater chance of drowning
Professor Furguson's model was used to predict the virus, he has a terrible track record and was wrong about Sars, swine flu, CJD, and Mers. But eminent epidemiologists like Prog Gupta for Oxford university were ignored, WHY did the government listen to him
Lockdowns did not save lives, this was published in the Lancet.
Placing people under house arrest has caused untold damage to mental health.

Try also reading the worlddoctorsalliance.com, it is all here

soffiee · 21/10/2020 14:05

@MillieVanilla thank you for your comment and understanding and I hope you're doing well. I pray for you and thousands of others who are in this situation and I genuinely wish you and all the others on the same boat have new and better opportunities on the horizon. I hope our government comes to its senses and accepts that this virus is here to stay and lockdowns don't help. Isolating people (tourists) for 2 weeks doesn't help our fragile economy. Believe it or not, we need our tourists, we need our foreign students and we need our international business people and their investments. Herd immunity is the only way. Wishing you the best of all luck and all the best 🌸🌺

Wherehavetheteletubbiesgone · 21/10/2020 14:06

Note the op wouldn't have a choice if they were in China a country that has successfully controlled the virus. Perhaps we need s bit more authoritarianism here.

Fearicecream · 21/10/2020 14:08

Is your plan to catch it and spread it? Hmm

GetOffYourHighHorse · 21/10/2020 14:09

'And what do you know of my disability?'

Oh I'm sorry are we in for a drip feed? It's just your posts have been self indulgent 'I cba' rather than 'I struggle with life already and this has made it much harder'.

'Yes, look at Sweden - no lockdown, nothing closed, very low Covid rates.'

A compliant nation apparently who didn't need telling to socially distance rather they did it themselves.
