Weird neighbour

He's painted his drive swimming pool blue !!! It clashes with his recently painted garage door (which is actually a really nice shade of sage green). He sanded the paving slabs before he painted those as well. I see it as soon as I get out of bed in a morning and I can see the blue if I'm stood in my kitchen. It's hideous. He's a laughing stock. Everyone walking past are talking about it.

He's going to end up with a load of confused London cyclists outside his house.

He's furloughed & binge watched home decor hacks on You Tube! Of course, I haven't done the exact same.....(flat now covered in air dry clay , bronze spray paint , multiple pastel chalk paints & pots I am upscaling).

@ILikeTrains and @notthemum I'm in the swimming pool on the drive corner too; which pub are we heading for? (Don't need a coat, it's a lovely evening here.)

The blue drive is a lot better than the Hyacinth Bucketesque pretentious brick atrocity in the forefront of the picture...

Really...I honestly think you need to get yourself a life and mind your own business...there may be something going on there with his health and it's his way of dealing with that...maybe try supporting him instead of ridiculing him and your life will be so much better...

I have to say - that is, err, bright and definitely is err bright with the green door

I think he needs to paint his door yellow to complete the look - I actually like the cheerfulness of it.

Christ some of you really do need to get a life. The drive was here when I bought the house and I ain't paying to get rid of it. The weeds are treated all the time and just keep coming back. It's a monstrosity but it's none of my business and was meant to be a bit lighthearted as it's funny. You wouldn't be happy living by it.

I hope he's going to paint some colourful sealife on it too.

I just burst out laughing at that photo OP YANBU to think the blue is an odd choice to go with a green garage door (It definitely is). You’ve gotten some very rude posts from people who I’m sure would have had the same reaction if their close neighbor had painted anything bright blue. You’re not petitioning him to redo the drive, just commenting that it’s a bit strange. Everyone should lighten up.

Or maybe his garage door is the mountains and his drive is the river. He could be trying to camouflage either way I’d find it bloody brilliantly entertaining if it were my neighbour. He’s got style
