Weird neighbour

He's painted his drive swimming pool blue !!! It clashes with his recently painted garage door (which is actually a really nice shade of sage green). He sanded the paving slabs before he painted those as well. I see it as soon as I get out of bed in a morning and I can see the blue if I'm stood in my kitchen. It's hideous. He's a laughing stock. Everyone walking past are talking about it.

It is his house I take it, he can do what he likes unless it is protected or restricted in some way - you could check this!

He likes it so he wins in all ways, as if my neighbours didn't like my taste and laughed at me behind my back then f**k 'em!

Can you buy some whole fish from the supermarket and fling them on the drive?

@ginislife please put my DH and I out of our misery. We can't believe our little street could be Mumsnet famous, but how many swimming pool blue drives and sage garage doors can there be??!! This is the most exciting thing that has happened to us since covid! We missed the picture, but can we guess...Is there a red KA on your drive??

My neighbour had some lovely pale sage cladding put on the top storey of her house but another neighbour complained about the colour to the council so she had to change it to white.How petty some people are, but if you hate it so much you maybe could complain to the council depending on the type of area you live in there may be restrictions.

@confused107 but do you agree with me ? Or am I really being mean ? They're very nice people, just have some very strange ideas. Each to their own.
And think of a swimming pool. How blue they tend to be when painted. It really is that bright. I'll take a less identifying photo later. I only had it removed because I'd posted the wrong one and there was a car reg visible

@GinisLife I have to admit we were baffled by his colour choice, but it doesn't offend us, each time their own and all that. But we also aren't directly looking at it!

Seem like a very lovely couple and obviously take great pride in keeping the house and garden neat, always tinkering and tidying so very interested to see what the next 'improvement' will be...
