To look for other people who weight 15 stone-something for a weight loss support thread?

I'm 5 ft 6lbs and 15 stone 6- so far too heavy! I was 10st 7 five years ago but lots of stress and a binge-eating habit/disorder mean I'm now at my heaviest.

I was just wondering if there were any people in the same situation who would like to join a weight loss support thread?

I would. I'm 5ft 5 1/2 and 15st 10lbs. I lost 4st to get down to about 12st five years ago, but put most of the back on and tend to lose and gain the same few pounds. I really want to stick to it this time. I started noom on Sunday, but once my trial is up it will be £120 and I don't really want to pay thematically when all I really need to to know I've got to tell someone my weight each week and be held accountable

There’s a low carb boot camp running at the moment. There’s plenty of us over 15 stone on there.

I’m 5’3” and started at 16st 1lb the week before the actual boot camp began (20th May) and am now at 15st 3lb after approx 3.5 weeks, so 12lb down. I’ve stalled a bit this last week but hoping it will carry on in the right direction if I keep it up!

If you fancy jumping on there, there are new people joining all the time.

Im around the 15st mark, but 5’1 so my BMI would be higher. Ive started using my fitness pal again so am calorie counting. Haven’t eaten bread in over a week and my bloating has gone down. Stressful day today so ive even garlic bread and pasta and my stomach is HUGE!!! I might have a wander over to the low carb boot camp. So far this is what im doing, some if this is for other reasons not weightloss.

Probiotic tablet daily (probio7)
VitaminD oral spray
Minimum 2l of water spread out throughout the day
Decaf tea and green tea
No bread or pasta (rice ok and small amount of potato) so I am still having carbs but from other sources
Walking daily and trying to go over 10k
Visualisation and no negative trains of thought, as soon as doubt creeps in I’m reigning it in.
Checking on my fitness pal that I’m getting the right amount of nutrients and planning around that

Nit everyones cup of tea but I’ve really struggled during lock down with my mental health and I’m trying to sort myself out from the inside out. Ive tried all the diets and clubs in the past so I do know they work but I really need to change my mental attitude
Anyway, I will keep folks updated, so far I’ve lost 5lb and my stomach has gone down and less bloated and uncomfortable. I’d like to be a 12/14 so that is my first goal. No idea how much i need to lose to achieve that, from past experience probably around the 10.5 mark but may change as Im much older than last time I was that weight.

We are literally the same weight and height. I really need to get my finger out, I've put almost 2stone on in lockdown and was down at 12.5stone this time last year. I know I can do it but finding it difficult stuck inside most of the time

5ft 7 and 16 stone, annoyed as I was 11 stone 3 years ago, I've gone up and down since, got Down to just Under 13 a year and a half ago and back up and struggling to shift at the minute due to lock down and my severe lung problems since infancy

Hi, i’m 5ft 6 and weighed on monday at 15stone bang on. My knees are really hurting, I can’t help but think my weight isn’t helping. I’m having to buy clothes in plus size ranges. I feel horrible. I am so mortified I am the biggest I have ever been. The last time I saw 15st on the scales I was pregnant with my first. Two kids later and an sit down office job, it’s crept up. I need to do something. I’m attempting keto. After a busy day I had bolognese and garlic bread. Wide awake at 2.40am and my stomach is growling.

I’m 5ft 6 and 17 stone, can I join? I’ve lost 4 stone already but obviously still have a looooong way to go! I could never low carb but my secret weapon in the weight loss war is fasting. Cannot praise it enough! I know it’s not for everyone, but I highly recommend it. If I do a few 24 hour fasts, that’s when I notice the biggest weight loss. When I say I fast, I just mean food, I do drink 3 litres throughout the day etc. I also combine this with one meal a day. I’m only lightly exercising as I am recovering from an ailment that is still giving me pain when I exercise.

We can all do it! 💪🏻☺️

Me too, 5.8 and 15.12. I have put on so much weight since my dad died 3 years ago, although my weight has gone up and down aln my life. I have been spurred into action by seeing a picture of myself this weekend, I geniunely hadn't realised how big I looked!

Me please! I'm 15 stone exactly and 5ft 5. Started 16:8 this week (combined with cutting down on calories) and have found it relatively easily so far but it is only day 4!!

We can all do this :) just had my keto breakfast. Will be trying to up my water intake today, I don’t think i am drinking enough.

I’m also interested in fasting. Is anyone who is doing it fancy sharing some tips?

I started Fast800 at the end of December and have lost just shy of 3.5st. I was 15st 0.5lbs and am now 11st 9lbs (5ft 4) It's hard for the first few days but you get great results so quickly it's all the incentive you need. It really works!

I've been mainly posting my updates on the BMI40+ thread but that thread is often quite quiet so happy to join another. I would have been about 17st 10lb ish at the start of lockdown (can't be sure as I didn't manage to acquire scales till I had been eating less and exercising more for a while). now down to about 16st, so at least another 6st to lose.

I am eating between 1200 and 1400 cal a day, and walking briskly with leg weights for 45 minutes a day, and that is working ok so far.

I had a bad day yesterday as there was some stress going on and I was desperate to cope with it by comfort eating. I didn't go mad but I definitely went over the budget a little.
