To look for other people who weight 15 stone-something for a weight loss support thread?

I'm 5 ft 6lbs and 15 stone 6- so far too heavy! I was 10st 7 five years ago but lots of stress and a binge-eating habit/disorder mean I'm now at my heaviest.

I was just wondering if there were any people in the same situation who would like to join a weight loss support thread?

That's amazing Tulip!- well done and it must feel great to have maintained for so long too!

Binge-eating is a huge problem for me and I think why I put on 5 stone in less than two years. I can eat three healthy meals and then let myself down by bingeing on biscuits, crisps and chocolate.

I must admit, it's been a bit of a false start this week, and we've still got a fair bit of crap in the house, but I've decided, once it's gone, then I'm buying no more.

As a matter of interest, has anyone seen this article- 53 steps to lose weight. I think it's quite interesting. We're probably all doing some of these anyway. I think the idea behind this is that you can be flexible and not stick to the same 'rules' all the time

It’s easy to follow and has good simple work outs that alternate.
So today was weights day.
I have a 2 medicine balls (3 and 6kg), 2 sets of dumb bells (2 and 4kg ones) and resistance bands.
2 rounds of:
Pointer, 1 reps hold for 30 seconds on each side
Medicine ball squat press, 12 reps
Medicine ball deadlift, 12 reps
Alternate dumbbell press, 12 reps
Elbow side plank, 1 minute hold for 30 seconds on each side

Tomorrow is a 45 min walk then rest day, Thursday is weights day again.

Ive lost 2kg in the last week so I’m happy.
Little steps without getting disheartened.

I have had to stop baking. Because I eat it.

I think I've just found my tribe.

Yay this is brill. I have been over eating and totally ready to start. I used to smoke and coffee was my only sustenance when I was 18 but now after 2 babies a year and a half apart and not smoking I'm not really sure what to do. I did try making one up myself, I really enjoy eating green veg, petit pois, spinach broccoli so vegan I guess which worked quite well.. much better than the Atkins lol the headaches and mood swings were 100% like being 8 months preggo again. Shall we check in daily or what works for everyone? X

@Lovely1a2b3c

Of course *@BigMaryloo! @Rainbowx*, that's brilliant! I've done slim fast before but only for a short time.

@Mypathtriedtokillme, how is the Total Wellbeing diet going? is it easy enough to follow? I'm still calorie counting at the moment but might try something else!

@PuckleP, that's good. It's interesting that the eating window does seem to make such a difference with a short fast in between.

@MrsSlocombesPussy, sorry about that- I had the same all through lockdown- was 15st 3 at the start, went up to 15st 6.5 and then have gone back down a bit but am hoping not to go back up again!

@MarleyBarley18, I am calorie counting at the moment but lots of people are doing low carb, fasting or 800 cal diet.

I weighed in on Thursday at 15st 2.5lbs but have been overeating a bit since so need to nip that in the bud!

I Always thought calorie counting was a good idea and I haven't tried it but I think I'll give it a go. I just bought a vibroplate thing which if you actually work out on it's incredible. I thought it was a total fad but jiggly mum tum with no muscle at all has improved in a few weeks! Are you also working out as well as counting?
kateluvscats · 22/06/2020 22:31

Fast 800 is currently working for me, 16 hours overnight mainly of fasting and an 8 hour window to eat. 800 calories only, high protein, nuts, veg. No carbs or sugar or diet drinks. Find it easier than a diet because you don't think about what to eat as you can't break the fast or it screws up your body burning fat.
