To look for other people who weight 15 stone-something for a weight loss support thread?

I'm 5 ft 6lbs and 15 stone 6- so far too heavy! I was 10st 7 five years ago but lots of stress and a binge-eating habit/disorder mean I'm now at my heaviest.

I was just wondering if there were any people in the same situation who would like to join a weight loss support thread?

I weighed today and was 215.5lbs which I think is 15st 5½. I'm glad about this as I didn't weigh last week but the week before I was 217 and thought I'd have been about 220 last week as I ate crap lol. So it was definitely less than I expected and has motivated me even more!

Today has been good and I even reached my 10,000 steps which has been very hard during lockdown. I did some shopping and carried heavy bags back home which was hard work but felt good!

I almost feel excited to weigh again next week! I'm setting myself small goals so I'd like to get to 210lbs and then set myself 10lb goals from there. My more long term goal atm is 175lbs which is 12½ stone. If I ever actually get there then I might set another goal but I'm not even thinking that far ahead yet! One step at a time Smile.

Did my weekly weigh in yesterday - finally lost another pound! I’ve been stalled for a couple of weeks, but reading about the science behind low carb I don’t feel too disheartened by that now.

Total loss is tantalisingly close to a stone now since 20th May. 13lb down, so 15 stone 2lb.

Ideally I need to lose another stone to be my usual “heavy but acceptable” weight. Need to lose 4 stone to be at my post-divorce lightweight size!

Mypathtriedtokillme · 16/06/2020 01:06

Can I join in too.
I’m 6 foot and just over 100kg.
I want to get down to 80kg.

I’ve done it before (and been less) but small kids and injuries haven’t helped (broken and sprained ankle, knee reconstruction)

iknowiknowiknownotnow · 16/06/2020 10:39

5'6" and 17.5 can I join?

PuckleP · 16/06/2020 11:33

We're in together and we can do it

MrsSlocombesPussy · 16/06/2020 15:23

Weighed myself yesterday and am back up to 15 st 11!
I seem to be gaining and losing the same 3 or 4 lbs.
I think I'll start by trying 16:8 and cutting out on the crap.

HippoMumsy · 17/06/2020 01:20

Can I join please xx

macaronilemonpony · 17/06/2020 07:45

Are we starting now??

PuckleP · 17/06/2020 08:34

I started last Friday doing 16:8, more because I wasn't feeling well so didn't eat until about 2pm. But thought right here we go. So far so good, my plan is fir my eating window to be 11-7. Reality WFH had meant it's been 2-7 so my fasting period had been longer which can't be bad. I've also started a food diary more because if I write it down I don't just cram 3 meals into a small time frame. Hope everyone is doing OK x

Rainbowx · 17/06/2020 08:44

Mypathtriedtokillme · 19/06/2020 02:02

I’m doing the Total wellbeing diet which is a low GI carbs, high low fat protein diet along with walking, slow running (while being outpaced by butterflies), rowing machine and weights.

I went for a 7km walk with DD (3) this morning (she wanted a piece of rainbow cake) after dropping off my 6 year old at school.
We power walked and slow jogged to a bakery/cafe 2 suburbs over I had a coffee she had cake then jog/walked home and now are going to do 20 minutes of light weights.

Off to get my thyroid and Cholesterol checked next week.

Mypathtriedtokillme · 19/06/2020 02:04

Exercising 3 times a week then doing an active activity with my kids in the weekend like biking or fast walking while they scooter.

Mypathtriedtokillme · 19/06/2020 02:07

Im meal planning (but not in the making the whole weeks worth super planned way) but planning and buying what I need for the weeks for lunches and dinners
Then keeping a food diary and making my lunch and snacks at night when I make Dd’s Lunch for school.

That way I eat my lunch and don’t eat crap.

Lovely1a2b3c · 19/06/2020 23:47

Of course @BigMaryloo! @Rainbowx, that's brilliant! I've done slim fast before but only for a short time.

@Mypathtriedtokillme, how is the Total Wellbeing diet going? is it easy enough to follow? I'm still calorie counting at the moment but might try something else!

@PuckleP, that's good. It's interesting that the eating window does seem to make such a difference with a short fast in between.

@MrsSlocombesPussy, sorry about that- I had the same all through lockdown- was 15st 3 at the start, went up to 15st 6.5 and then have gone back down a bit but am hoping not to go back up again!

@MarleyBarley18, I am calorie counting at the moment but lots of people are doing low carb, fasting or 800 cal diet.

I weighed in on Thursday at 15st 2.5lbs but have been overeating a bit since so need to nip that in the bud!

Welcome @HippoMumsy!

@macaronilemonpony, yes, if you just update with which eating plan/diet and when you weigh-in day is maybe.

Lovely1a2b3c · 19/06/2020 23:50

*your weigh-in, not you weigh-in!

Lovely1a2b3c · 19/06/2020 23:51

@MarkRuffaloCrumble, that's brilliant- a stone is a great loss!

OP posts:
Pinga · 19/06/2020 23:57

Am I too late to join? Im 5ft3 and 15stone something too.

MarkRuffaloCrumble · 20/06/2020 02:12

Thanks Lovely Smile

I think because I still have such a way to go, I’m feeling a bit fed up as the last few weeks have been slow, but an overall loss of nearly a stone in a month is good isn’t it!

Rainbowx · 20/06/2020 07:17

Thanks lovely x

PuckleP · 20/06/2020 09:33

So just weighed and down 2lb this week, slow but steady will win the race. It also means I'm down 7lb since the beginning of the year. Hope everyone is well x

ChickenNugget86 · 20/06/2020 17:22

I'm 5ft 7 and weigh 17 stone 6 pounds.
I've not long had a baby and actually lost over 2 stone during pregnancy as I was so sick and had to follow a strict diet having geastional diabetes. My issue is that now I've got my appitite back I'm craving cakes and lots of carbs as I couldn't have them in the third trimester.
I ideally would like to go down to a size 14/16 I'm currently size 20/22.

TulipWonder · 20/06/2020 17:33

I just wanted to say good luck to you all. I was over 15 stone. I'm now around 10 stone and have maintained for the past 6 years.

The things that helped me was finding an exercise I enjoy (lifting weights) and breaking the binge/restrict cycle (I really recommend the Brain Over Binge book).
