I wonder if the [younger, generally healthy] people who are so utterly (irrationally) terrified of coronavirus have never really had any illnesses in their life or dealt with any serious medical issues.
I’ve had every virus or illness going - flu, norovirus, bronchitis, scarlet fever, mumps as an adult, you name it. It’s horrendous for a few weeks, then you start to get better, and after a while you make a full recovery and go back to normal. This virus will be no different for the vast (99.8%) majority of the population.
If you have spent your life battling serious, life limiting, disfiguring, disabling, slowly terminal illness- like many people in my family - you have a better sense of perspective around something like this.
Crohns, diabetes, epilepsy, stroke, cancer, kidney failure, liver disease, heart disease, MS, MND... really a few weeks of feeling shit pales in comparison.
