Just that really. He was last seen running towards a London tube station, statement then comes out that he has symptoms (sure everyone else on that carriage were pleased) and we’ve heard fuck all since.

Has he realised his Rasputin days are over and legged it?

That and the fact she's as thick as shite in the neck of a bottle.

Still managed to get a degree in Economics and postgrad in Politics despite that, eh?

itsgettingweird · 08/04/2020 19:06

He was last seen running (to some fab benny hill music thanks to Twitter!) because he realised he could no longer hide behind BoJo because he was isolating.

I have massive emote by for anyone who gets the virus and loses a loved one to it.

But you don't stop being a twat just because you've experienced heartbreak or illness.

CaribouCarafe · 08/04/2020 19:11

@MintyMabel but not exactly at elite universities...

lemonsandlimes123 · 08/04/2020 19:12

mintymabel - not exactly from establishments known as academic powerhouses!

WeakAndWeary · 08/04/2020 19:18

Doesn't alter the fact Cummings is a machievellian sociopath who plays with our lives and deaths like pieces on his own human chessboard. Doesn't stop us deserving accountability from him

I very much love this.

EerieSilence · 08/04/2020 19:21

@Redshoeblueshoe I feel sorry for his uncle.
I couldn't feel sorry for Cummings whatever horrible would happen to him personally. As in really anything in the world. He is the most despicable not really human being, just a being. Up there with Donald Trump and his cohort of psychopaths.
Seriously people, get a grip. What makes people feeling sorry for those who couldn't give a shit about others?

HPFA · 08/04/2020 19:23

According to the Times today he's still showing symptoms of the virus.

He's a horrible individual whose influence on our politics, on our country, has been wholly malign. I imagine the majority of the Cabinet are pleased not to be dealing with him.

Char1iesMum · 08/04/2020 19:24

He'll be hiding in the under-stairs cupboard.
My DH boss ex local govt, got called out when the shit hit the fan used to when anything important happened then passed the buck to the trainee. Grin

Justanotherlurker · 08/04/2020 19:25

All the people here who don't want to listen to experts as herd immunity is pretty much the only response as the vaccine is over a year away.

If people really want to play partisan politics at a time like this, just imagine what a shit show the country would be in if Corbyn/Abbott and Mcdonnell was in power, it really highlights the 'kinder, gentler politics' from the more vocal so called educated left wing voter.

MrsTerryPratchett · 08/04/2020 19:28

Sorry but it's not politics. He wasn't bloody elected. He has vastly too much power and influence through shady means.

I can summon up empathy for Boris, and his poor pregnant partner. But Cummings? He's a Darwinian; live by the sword.

EerieSilence · 08/04/2020 19:31

@Justanotherlurker - I dislike Corbyn very intensely but give me him over any of Cummings's bunch of psychos who couldn't give a shit about how many people will die.
Cummings's idea of herd immunity was to let the weak get properly sick and/or die. Well, see where it got him and his posh blond bimbo.

UntamedWisteria · 08/04/2020 19:33

Our dear Home Secretary certainly has been conspicuous by her absence.

It's hardly a vote of confidence in her abilities, is it, that she's been effectively silenced during the worst crisis this country has known since WW2?

Hopefully she'll be reshuffled out of cabinet at the fist opportunity.

Bring on a Government of National Unity.

whataboutbob · 08/04/2020 19:34

It really does come to something when Cameron calls you a career psychopath ( echoing PP). Hopefully he’ll self isolate for 20 years.

UntamedWisteria · 08/04/2020 19:34

To be fair to Dom though, it's said that he changed his mind about herd immunity pretty quickly.

Still, it will probably turn out to have been his Gerald Ratner moment.

Tonyaster · 08/04/2020 19:37

Having a nervous breakdown and drinking himself into a stupor every night allegedly.

LittleLittleLittle · 08/04/2020 19:40

Mr Cummings wanted me dead under his eugenics theories. I'm glad he's learning about how his theories work in practice.

Peapod29 · 08/04/2020 19:49

Yes, I don’t think when Boris stood there and told us we’d loose loved ones before their time he thought for a moment one of them might be him (and I do sincerely hope he’s not). At least this crisis has shown Cummings up for the dangerous psycho he is.

HereDefenders · 08/04/2020 19:52

It's not ideal when you have to hide away some of your senior politicians (Priti, Jacob R-M) when the shit hits the fan because they lack the emotional intelligence to deal with the British public during a crisis. Not a fan of Dom Cummings, I hope his science and whacky theories are kicked to the curb after this.

MrsFrTedCrilly · 08/04/2020 19:55

Under his rock withering given that his host organism shook off the parasite?
If this is the only silver lining from Covid 19 I’ll have it.

Alsohuman · 08/04/2020 19:55

Hanging upside down in a cave, I reckon. Hopefully we’ve seen the back of the vile creature.

I see Priti Patel’s Masters is from the University of Essex, I can’t imagine that’s an establishment with the highest of academic standards.

TwentyViginti · 08/04/2020 19:59

Is the wackjob in hiding?

LittleLittleLittle · 08/04/2020 20:10

@Alsohuman both Keele and Essex are well regarded Universities.

Though I don't expect either establishments to be proud of all their alumni.

Peregrina · 08/04/2020 20:13

To be fair to Dom though, it's said that he changed his mind about herd immunity pretty quickly.

Only when he realised that it could affect him and his mates and not just kill off the old and the already sick.

Ravenesque · 08/04/2020 20:15

All the people here who don't want to listen to experts as herd immunity is pretty much the only response as the vaccine is over a year away.

No, herd immunity with nothing else, so letting the virus whiz around infecting the population willy-nilly is how (at least) tens of thousands more died than is necessary and how the NHS collapses.

The responses probably eventually include some level of herd immunity, but without mass testing and periods of lockdown we sentence more people to unnecessary early deaths and the NHS falls apart because there are too many people seriously ill at any given time.

Show me one expert who is saying that herd immunity alone is what will get us through this and, if that's even possible, you will be showing me a nutjob.

Peregrina · 08/04/2020 20:16

Essex certainly is for Government which is what Priti Patel did her Masters in. Bercow is also an alumnus of the same department.
