It's not ideal when you have to hide away some of your senior politicians (Priti, Jacob R-M) when the shit hits the fan because they lack the emotional intelligence to deal with the British public during a crisis. No, herd immunity with nothing else, so letting the virus whiz around infecting the population willy-nilly is how (at least) tens of thousands more died than is necessary and how the NHS collapses.

The responses probably eventually include some level of herd immunity, but without mass testing and periods of lockdown we sentence more people to unnecessary early deaths and the NHS falls apart because there are too many people seriously ill at any given time.

Show me one expert who is saying that herd immunity alone is what will get us through this and, if that's even possible, you will be showing me a nutjob.
