Thank you so much! Isolating here with 3 small children. And have also ordered a box for elderly parents Flowers

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 23/03/2020 15:29

Looks fab, thanks for sharing.

DamnYouAutoCarrot · 23/03/2020 15:29

I have ordered one for Wednesday. The meat eaters one. I will report back when it arrives with what it contains. I may order one for my DM if it seems good.

Exploring · 23/03/2020 15:31

Thank you 👍 I've sent that to my in laws. Their Sainsbury's order came with 3 things.

DamnYouAutoCarrot · 23/03/2020 15:31

Thanks @Apolloanddaphne :)

It does say example beef OR chicken, so it's unlikely the actual box will be contain more than the example picture.

It says it contains a weeks worth of food for 2 people plus some household essentials, so it will have more in it than the photo.

It won't necessarily have your favourite products, but it should have enough to stop someone going hungry. I suspect a lot of people complaining they have no food actually mean that they've run out of their preferred items and won't actually go for this though.

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 23/03/2020 15:33

It’s not a picture of tuna, it’s tuno a fake tuna alternative for veggies bit like Quorn is to chicken.

I don’t think £30 for enough food to feed 2 adults for a week is expensive!

Cracking idea

ZarkingBell · 23/03/2020 15:34

great!

DamnYouAutoCarrot · 23/03/2020 15:34

@Exploring 3 things! That's ridiculous.. Hopefully it helps.

Exactly that @mrsm43s!

That is a great idea from Morrison's. 🙂

You would think. The fact that you don't get more than one meat would put me off though.

SmallChickBilly · 23/03/2020 15:39

@Ostanovka

The vegetarian one has a can of tuna in the photo!

It's Tuno- a vegetarian tuna alternative, presumably to represent the unappealingly described 'vegetarian proteins' which sounds like slices of actual vegetarians!

Redda · 23/03/2020 15:40

It's a good idea but it doesn't look like much compared to the boxes I've been getting delivered free from my local butcher/veg guys (they've teamed up) definitely worth checking local suppliers too

Charley50 · 23/03/2020 15:44

Thanks Apollo. This is a great idea. I ❤️ Morrison's anyway, it's where we shop.

WorraLiberty · 23/03/2020 15:46

Excellent. Thanks for that, OP Thanks

Throckmorton · 23/03/2020 15:47

On my God - thank you 31DamnYouAutoCarrot !!

FlamedToACrisp · 23/03/2020 15:49

@Apolloanddaphne

Looking forward to feedback/photos - it's a good idea in principle, but one lot of meat won't make meals for a week.

RandomlyChosenName · 23/03/2020 15:52

Thank you so much! I was worried about starving before you sent this! Have shared with elderly parents too.

Well done Morrison’s. Perfect idea.

HuggedTheRedwoods · 23/03/2020 15:54

oh do please update when your boxes arrive! It feels like a dark twist on the advent calendar threads! Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 23/03/2020 15:56

What a good idea! Thanks OP

Talia99 · 23/03/2020 15:56

What a great idea - I assume it takes a lot less time to pack and a lot less time to deliver as well. I hope other supermarkets follow suit.

It will if the meat is a Mumsnet chicken Grin

SimplySteveRedux · 23/03/2020 15:59
