For those that can't get delivery slots.

It's a good idea but for what is in it is really expensive

It’s not. It feeds two people for a week, we spend more than that when you can easily get everything you want in the supermarket.

FeedMeSantiago · 26/03/2020 09:38

I've been trying to get one of the vegetarian boxes, but they're sold out every morning when I go to buy one (I do this as soon as I get up at 07:30).

Those who managed to get a box - what time of day are you ordering them? I'm wondering if I should stay up until midnight tonight to try then...

slashlover · 26/03/2020 10:19

I ordered mine on Monday so it's probably got more popular as more people realised.

Mine was booked for today but just got a message that it would be tomorrow.

Dixiechickonhols · 26/03/2020 11:19

Thank you for posting dolly

StarbucksSmarterSister · 26/03/2020 22:27

I booked mine on Monday, for delivery today. It was confirmed, time slot tbc today. So far no confirmation re timeslot, no delivery, no notification that it will be late. It's now gone 10pm.

I know they must be busy but am not impressed. I am in my 60s with asthma and copd so don't want to go out.

DPD, the delivery company, told me they have the order details but not yet received the package .

I have tried to contact Morrisons through the website (can't phone them) and twice through Twitter. No reply yet.

MiniatureRed · 26/03/2020 22:35

^ hope it turns up soon, Starbucks

I REALLY want to get my hands on one of these but I've checked the website about 50 times in the last 3 days and it's always out of stock. What's the secret? When's the best time?

StarbucksSmarterSister · 26/03/2020 23:26

I think I booked before it got really popular What annoys me is the lack of contact.

SunshineCake · 27/03/2020 08:06

Clearly they are swamped with orders. Be patient. We are in very difficult times and people are working hard to enable you to stay in and eat. Letting someone know x hundreds their box is on its way, a bit late, coming later takes time they probably don't have.

skyblu · 27/03/2020 08:15

It’s a great idea. They are trying to help and it’s quick thinking!
At least they are reacting and trying to help/do something! Well done a Morrison’s!
(Unlike Tesco, who I think, has been absolutely appalling in this crisis! And I do NOT mean the store staff, who have been working their hardest, I mean the management & direction from the top!)

PerkingFaintly · 27/03/2020 10:54

Well, the news article said they'll be ramping up now, and that the first 10,000 boxes were essentially testing the scheme.

So I hope availability will shoot up soon.

SoupDragon · 27/03/2020 11:27

I'm surprised other supermarkets haven't introduced the same TBH.

Olinguito · 27/03/2020 12:12

Food boxes available again - just ordered one for the in-laws!

PerkingFaintly · 27/03/2020 12:12

I expect they will now Morrison's have shown the demand.

Although it might be that, now Morrison's have bagged DPD as the carrier, the other supermarkets will have to look at other carrier networks.

fiddlethefiddles · 27/03/2020 12:14

They are showing as unavailable now.

Olinguito · 27/03/2020 12:16

Oh my goodness, sorry to raise people's hopes - they must have sold out again very quickly.

Orangecake123 · 27/03/2020 12:21

My mum just got hers:

Broccoli
3 large onions
1 packet of carrots
1 can of baked beans
1 can of tomato soup
1 tub of pasta sauce
1 L cravendale milk
1 packet of 3 peppers
1 large block of cathedral cheese
quorn scotch eggs
quorn mince
1 packet of pasta
1 packet of 4 toilet paper
1 packet of kitchen roll.

ArriettyJones · 27/03/2020 12:23

It probably varies by region and delivery route @Olinguito

At least your ability to order shows that they are still working on making more slots available.

JRUIN · 27/03/2020 12:28

That's not even 20 quids worth is it @Orangecake123? Confused

Kingcole · 27/03/2020 12:31

Supposed to get mine today no email as yet.

Orangecake123 · 27/03/2020 12:38

Sorry I left out the following:

Quorn sausages,
the countrylife butter
two packets of potatoes,
and a vegetarian pastry.

She's happy with it.

Orangecake123 · 27/03/2020 12:44

I haven't done everything but using their website for the price- I think it adds up okay.

Broccoli £0.60p
3 large onions
1 packet of carrots £0.50p
1 can of baked beans
1 can of tomato soup
1 tub of pasta sauce
1 L cravendale milk £1.15

1 large block of cathedral cheese £2.50
quorn scotch eggs
quorn mince £2.20
1 packet of pasta

1 packet of 4 toilet paper
1 packet of kitchen roll
Quorn sausages £2.20
Butter £1.65

Zogsbigsister · 27/03/2020 12:55

They’ve got deliveries in there now for tomorrow and next sat

AlexaShutUp · 27/03/2020 12:59

I have managed to get a vegetarian box for delivery tomorrow after trying about a billion times! The timing is really good for us as we are running out of essentials, so I'm happy. I'm kind of past caring about what's in it to be honest, I just want something to feed our family. Hoping that there will be some milk though, as DH will get very grumpy without it!

ginghamstarfish · 27/03/2020 13:05

Great idea, but they need to show some representations of what you actually get -I'd say those photos don't show even £20 worth of food.

CottonHeadedNinyMuggins · 27/03/2020 13:05

Thank you, managed to get one an hour ago (after three days of refreshing every few mins) so looking forward to it arriving tomorrow.
