I have one coming on Sat, looks like it will feed us 4 for quite few days.

PerkingFaintly · 25/03/2020 16:24

And well done @DamnYouAutoCarrot for starting the thread! Flowers

ArriettyJones · 25/03/2020 16:40

Yes @DamnYouAutoCarrot - thanks. It’s been really helpful to have this info.

YeahRiiiiight · 25/03/2020 17:25

My friend (who’s having chemo and self isolating alone) received the box I ordered today. Thrilled!

Exactly the same stuff as others have received and she said it will last her 2 weeks of age freezes some of it now. Brilliant.

Hope they can open up more slots soon.

BebeGlazer · 25/03/2020 17:36

My parents are delighted with their box which arrived today! Thanks so much OP Flowers

TeaLibrary · 25/03/2020 18:48

I ordered one for Friday but didn't get any email confirmation either.

Thescrewinthetuna · 25/03/2020 18:57

Those with no email confirmations, have you checked your junk folder?

DamnYouAutoCarrot · 25/03/2020 19:01

You're very welcome :) a little bit of community spirit goes a long way in these times.

Ah thank you. I went hunting in my junk mail and there it was.

FazakAli · 25/03/2020 19:23

Has anyone ordered the vegetarian box? I want to order one but interested to know what's in it. Thanks

YeahRiiiiight · 25/03/2020 19:37

I didn’t get an email confirmation. Just on the day of delivery a DPD delivery slot.

slashlover · 25/03/2020 19:45

Has anyone ordered the vegetarian box? I want to order one but interested to know what's in it. Thanks

I've got one arriving tomorrow.

Comefromaway · 25/03/2020 19:55

I’ve ordered one of each as although dd isn’t vegetarian she eats a lot of veggie food eg tofu.

Sosounhappy · 25/03/2020 19:58

Oooh these look fab

Duchessofblandings · 25/03/2020 20:06

How do you get them though? We can’t go out and the website keeps telling me there are no slots.

FazakAli · 25/03/2020 20:09

@slashlover brilliant, let me know what you get in your veggie box. Thanks

CatChant · 25/03/2020 21:18

We got a vegetarian box and it doesn't differ that much from the meat ones already posted on the thread.

We got:
6 'Heck' meat free vegan sausages
350g Quorn mince
350g Quorn pieces
167g of vegetarian 'steak' slice
350g tub of tomato and basil pasta sauce
1 kg baby potatoes
3 mixed peppers
Broccoli
1kg carrots
3 large onions
350g cheddar
Salted butter
White sliced bread
500g penne pasta
Tin baked beans
Tin vegetable soup
Tin tomato soup
250g packet of long grain rice
1l of Cravendale semi skimmed milk
4 toilet rolls
2 kitchen towels

We are delighted with it. Smile

HuggedTheRedwoods · 25/03/2020 21:43

Thanks for posting the vegetarian one, that sounds really good. I'm also a bit surprised that contents are consistent. For some reason I imagined they would be made up of whatever stocks local stores had available but clearly a bit of planning has gone into the contents.

Thanks for posting this @DamnYouAutoCarrot (love the name btw).

FazakAli · 25/03/2020 21:45

*@CatChant thank you for the update. I'll order one tomorrow.

Dawndeer · 25/03/2020 22:14

Hi , thanks for the link op. I tried to order for my dad and it says they are sold out. Can anyone suggest an alternative. He is in Paisley in Scotland. Am in Ireland myself so a bit clueless. also complicated by the fact he has no phone at moment. Thanks a mill in advance

Article dated Wednesday so refers to coming week from now.

Government helps supermarkets target deliveries to vulnerable shoppers
www.theguardian.com/business/2020/mar/25/supermarkets-use-database-to-prioritise-deliveries-to-elderly

Morrisons said it had already delivered 10,000 boxes of essential groceries after beginning tests on a new scheme this week which operates using couriers rather than via its Morrisons.com network. The retailer expects to ramp up production of two £30 boxes of essentials in the coming week .

PencilFace · 26/03/2020 06:47

It's such a good idea, however totally sold out whenever I check. I wonder if the other supermarkets will start doing them?

fantasmasgoria1 · 26/03/2020 07:01

It's a good idea but for what is in it is really expensive.

SoupDragon · 26/03/2020 07:03

Are you going by the original pictures or the ones where posters have said in detail what's in it?

SunshineCake · 26/03/2020 07:48

Clearly someone who hasn't read the website correctly or this thread, SoupDragon Hmm.

This is an unprecedented difficult time and no supermarket would profiteer as they know the consequences.
