AIBU?

To ask what the secret is behind the Maltesers box?

Just that really: what is the box design all about? Why is there the circular hole? What are the perforated quarter circles for? Is it all some advanced alien technology or am I just too dense to understand a basic cardboard box?

Don't forget to bring the bunting and a table for your stall when you sell moon pies and Maltesers outside Buck palace

Sweetpea1532 · 14/06/2021 23:23

Oh, @AlCalavicci whatever would I do without your patient reminders...I'd forgotten all about the moonpies that I promised last year to introduce to the UK.
I think @mathanxiety had the great idea to sell oatmeal creme-filled sandwiches from Dollartree

That book sounds amazing! Imagine as a kid feeling really smug that you've got something so precious!

I would love a book like that , Something that had a real prize to hunt for would be cool .

In a world that lives in my very odd imagination we would be able to buy mystery books that were set in the town I live in and I would have to go around the town looking for clues to work out the puzzle / mystery . But each book would have to be slightly different do that there could be no online sharing / cheating

It's almost December so I thought I'd send you all seasons greetings before I forget.
I was at the shops yesterday and was tempted into buying Maltesers new mint buttons 🤢
First of all, buttons shouldn't even have the Maltesers name attached to the packet and definitely should not be flavoured with mint...warning: don't fall for their flashy packaging...stick to the good ole chocolaty malt goodness of the original ballsStar don't know where MN has hidden edge the Christmas emojis!

I had some sort of weird Maltesers buttons that my MIL gave me. They were foul. I don't even care if I lose my sponsorship over that decision!

Don't lose a Malteser when there's a pet in the room
You'll never see it again

Malteasers in a box at a Christmas showing of Aristocats when I was about four. Perfect.

I also used to like those Rowentrees fruit gums in box, the ones that were shaped like the actual fruits rather than the (then) knobbly ones in a roll. You used to get them at kiosks in cinemas and theatres.

Maltesers always tasted so much better at the cinema...fruit gums, too...they must have had a special ingredient mixed in to the theatre versionsXmas Grin

If you lose a Malteser and cutie pie cat can't get to it go get it if you want any floor furniture or rugs left.
Pesky weirdos that they are..

Oooh, THAT'S what you were talking about with pets that will retrieve dropped Maltesers 😂
I wasn't aware that cats find Maltesers delicious chocolaty balls, also...or is it that they like to bat them around and drool chocolate everywhere 😂

@SwtPeasOnEarth it's when the silly cat can't get it from under furniture and you find it 6 months later cat having drooled all over it is now a fluff ball

Do you still have this non-fuzzy, Maltesers-eating cat? If so, I have officially awarded it the honour of "Monty's Cat Maltesers Mascot"
Only requirement is that you must provided a photo of said mascot for the campaignXmas Grin
