To ask what the secret is behind the Maltesers box?

Just that really: what is the box design all about? Why is there the circular hole? What are the perforated quarter circles for? Is it all some advanced alien technology or am I just too dense to understand a basic cardboard box?

There is a kids’ detective book where the box of Maltesers has a barcode which is secret code to open a criminal’s secret safe wherein are stashed the diamonds. Does that help?

I've just reread this thread and made myself laugh with my own stories account of my Maltesers career.

Have the boxes got smaller or have fewer in? I used to share a box with my Mother (as a kid) and now I can eat a whole box myself. It can't be increasing greed, surely???

This thread has been going a year and now we are all wanting Maltesers. Did the pp bumping the zombie get a commission?

I am here , well do you nibble the choc of or munch the lot all at once , somewhere up thread i said i would mix Horlicks and coco , I did it worked ( sort of ) but it was messy but i promise I did not spill any on anyone's drive

Glad to hear the Horlicks/cocoa recipe is a win as I've just found a British Food Shop near me that has it in stock..
They are all out of Maltesers and Jaffa cakes

Ohh I am glad you found some , as well as making fake maltesers it has always been a comfort food / drink for me if I am feeling under the weather and dont feel like eating .

Have you noticed it’s amazing Malteser multiplying function too? They are never ending out of the box

My box always seems to have less than advertised...maybe the person at factory in Slough has pinched some as they go by his workstation....but I do have form for sleep eating

You've reminded me of when I was about 23 and lodging with a family. The Mum asked me to watch her baby while she look her little boy to the dentist, and she brought me back a big box of malteasers as a thank you.

We ended up passing the box around her, my friend (the other lodger) and me whilst watching TV. That was a good evening.

Can't wait to try the Horlicks- cocoa trick...although I'm a very messy cook...last time I made anything with cocoa powder I had my kitchen window open...just as I started to add the cocoa to the bowl, a huge gale force wind blew in the window and cocoa went everywhere !

I am a messy cook too , my latest mess was only a few days ago when I dropped a open tin of chopped tomatoes . It went everywhere!

They taste exactly the same...whether in a cardboard box or packet

Ah ha, I see you've fallen for the ole switch-a-roo....the inside of the box infuses the yummy little chocolate covered malty bits with a unique flavour...especially if the box has that neat little dispenser hole

Went to the shops to buy Horlicks and they were sold out! I found Maltesers chocolate hot drink.
Thought I'd give it a try
