I am waiting with interest to find out what happens next, following on from this afternoon's talks at Sandringham.

Poor old Queen. She can't have finished the leftover turkey yet and here she is, embroiled in another crisis.

The reasons for moving will be more complex, but that will be part of it

His wife was pregnant with HG and had been advised to avoid sex and the opportunity was there and he took it.

He’s a man Hmm

derxa · 13/01/2020 19:25

It has been well documented that Harry, William and Kate was friends. Yes in that circumstance I would be unhappy that William had had an affair. And add to that that an affair broke up their parents marriage.
Strange that Harry is more upset about this 'affair' than Kate

TheMustressMhor · 13/01/2020 19:25

Exactly how many Royal duties will Harry be required to undertake in Canada?

Or the USA?

These duties are undertaken and shared out between the whole Royal Family, and they take place in the UK.

So Harry is going to be bored brainless.

Meanwhile, Meghan will be where she wants.

I am so sad for Harry in all this. He hasn't figured out what is destined to happen next.

And Harry does not have a real job in the UK anyway.

PlacidPenelope · 13/01/2020 19:26

The truth is Harry and Meghan hold all the cards now.

I disagree, I think they hold very few cards. The threat of a US TV interview or magazine/book deal is a damp squib, and they should care what the British public think they only hold those titles that they want to trade off because of the British Constitutional Monarchy system and the public support of it. Meghan does have a trump card to play over Harry which is their son and he knows it.

I think your first two paragraphs are a load of old tosh.

SeperatedSwans · 13/01/2020 19:27

So Meghan Markle the Princess of North America is well under way 🤣

She can live on Vancouver Island surrounded by a moat come out to wave at the peasant now and again, do her showbiz interviews then retreat as she pleases. Her press intrusion and appearance guided by her own Instagram and people.

All bow to the newly appointed HRH of The North America's 🤣

(All that because she could t be the shining starlett in the shadow of humble party store Kate, Meghan's and actress and Blogger don't ya know!)

MrsBrentford · 13/01/2020 19:27

If they did an interview they would look like utter twits.

And I don’t believe he wants to cut ties with his family.

karencantobe · 13/01/2020 19:29

@MrsBrentford Nice to know that you think it is fine for a man to have an affair if his wife can't have sex with him.

And Kate may be very upset about William's behaviour. We have no idea what Kate thinks. She puts on a show in public.

ajandjjmum · 13/01/2020 19:29

I think if William has had an affair, Kate is a wonderful actress.

Does piss me off that people keep repeating it as an accepted fact on here, when it is definitely not. Bit like those daft folk who think The Crown is a true reflection of the Royal Family.

Iamdobby63 · 13/01/2020 19:29

I really think we should stop feeding a vague tabloid rumour of Williams alleged affair..... and I highly doubt that would be a reason for H & M to be moving away.

MrsBrentford · 13/01/2020 19:29

MrsBrentford Nice to know that you think it is fine for a man to have an affair if his wife can't have sex with him

Where on earth did I say I thought it as ok? Confused

SnorkMaiden81 · 13/01/2020 19:30

She'll fall pregnant again very soon and THAT child will be a Canadian citizen by birth. It's a full house for her.

derxa · 13/01/2020 19:31

I think if William has had an affair, Kate is a wonderful actress. Certainly a better actress than Meghan. Grin

Hearhoovesthinkzebras · 13/01/2020 19:31

I am so sad for Harry in all this. He hasn't figured out what is destined to happen next.

Me too. What happens when the marriage ends? What will there be for him here and how will he leave his son there?

Unless she's already thinking 2 steps ahead - that if the marriage ends and they're here then she will have to stay here? Alarm bells were ringing for me at the wedding - who only gas 1 family member at their wedding?

DuchessofWoke · 13/01/2020 19:31

I can’t believe people are trying to spin this whole thing as Harry and Meghan falling out with William over an alleged affair. Meghan and Harry, so appalled by this moral failing, decide to leave the country.

Come off it.

WineOrGinOrBoth · 13/01/2020 19:31

MM wants the press alright - she just doesn’t want negative press.

DeRigueurMortis · 13/01/2020 19:31

I don't think their marriage is doomed - far from it.

It's integral to the "brand" and plans for Global "stardom" and riches.

H is well and truly on her turf now and I've no doubt she'll be the one driving the show but he seems to have found his niche in backing her at any cost to himself.

They have circled the wagons and obviously believe that their wishes/wants are justified and paramount to any collateral damage it will cause. Very much them vs the world, increasingly shutting out anyone whose not 100% on board to create their own echo chamber.

I don't think they will care what the British public reaction to this is. Let's face it. We're not their target market and it's pretty clear their visits here are going to be as minimal as they can get away with.

scaryteacher · 13/01/2020 19:32

@MrsBrentford Thanks! Yes, dh was a submariner til he retired; db was also one, and dn is one...seems to run in the family.

SusieMyerson · 13/01/2020 19:32

"l m still reeling that after that beautiful wedding, getting Frogmore and a truckload of designer clothes and generous maternity leave, Meghan decided she hated the whole"

or she only agreed to all of that on the understanding that after they have a baby she gets to move back to Canada and Harry's just keeping his side of the deal. Why would she want to live here instead of ,oh I don't know, anywhere else.

Seriously most people on this thread are mental. Well the monarchists are anyway.

karencantobe · 13/01/2020 19:32

We don't even know if they want to keep their titles. We have no idea what they want.

TwentyViginti · 13/01/2020 19:33

It reminds me of Henry 8th who was besotted with Anne Boleyn, turned his back on the church of Rome for her - but ended up wanting rid of her in a very final manner!

I'm wondering though if Harry will stay in the marriage even if he becomes unhappy in it, because he'll feel he's upset the family for nothing otherwise.

NumbersStation · 13/01/2020 19:34

Do you know, I hope they do carry on with their tell all story. The royals will be ok. Well, maybe apart from one ...

All it will do is to show them as ungrateful and unworthy of royal privilege. And the royals will weather the storm as they always do. And the real sycophants will be keeping their powder dry for the more senior royals.

This isn’t a surprise although I would put money on the fact that they’d have been happy to stay if PH had been born first...

Second fiddle is not what missy is used to.

karencantobe · 13/01/2020 19:34

@DuchessofWoke That is not what I said

derxa · 13/01/2020 19:34

Unless she's already thinking 2 steps ahead It's 20 steps ahead. But it will never be enough whatever 'it' is. In that respect I feel pity for her.

MrsBrentford · 13/01/2020 19:34

@scaryteacher

DH still in - 27 years and counting 🙈
