I am waiting with interest to find out what happens next, following on from this afternoon's talks at Sandringham.

Poor old Queen. She can't have finished the leftover turkey yet and here she is, embroiled in another crisis.

No implications whatsoever. The Cambridges’ children represent the future of “the dynasty”. Archie is no more relevant than any more of the Queen’s great grandchildren.

I envy the Royals in the access they have to people and places. If I were Camilla, I'd be spending lots of time at the RSN as Patron (and learning how to do lovely stitching - I've always wanted to try crewel work).

The statement is a meaningless broad one. Harry and Meghan had already made it clear they were going to spend time in Canada and the UK.

Going to be so so awkward the first time she does come back and has to be in the same room as any of them 😖😂

She won't have to be at the wedding to announce a pregnancy. She can do that on Instagram.

@themistressmhor .. I did, and I told anyone who was interested ,and loads of other people that she was a narcissist and would make Harry very miserable indeed. I take no pleasure from being correct tho’.

Tbh I think it would be better if she wasn’t - or al the focus will be on her and the reactions to/by her with the other family members

I think if they do they'll be wrong -carbon footprint & if they don't they'll also be wrong for snubbing Bea.

I doubt Meghan will see any of them from now on. She will have her excuses ready and her work with Disney and her son will be all consuming. I think it'll be a good year till she comes back and then only fleetingly.
The Americans will see much more of her from now on.
Harry will have to carve out his own way.

HMQ didn’t really have much choice did she? Whatever happens to Harry and Meghan, wherever they live and who else ends up paying for them they’re not going to be as welcomed here anymore. I think she had been poorly treated and the British public won’t forget that.

I’m going to pop to the bookies tomorrow and put a tenner on them splitting up by 2022.

Regarding paying for their security when they liven Canada, Finance Minister Bill Moreau has said this has not been decided yet, despite reports that Trudeau has privately assured the Queen that we would pay. As a Canadian, this does not thrill me. But I wonder who will pay for it when the are in the states?

Yes.

It doesn't matter what event she next appears at publicly - it is going to be dodgy.

Mind you, it may well be that the Queen suggests something like that, to deflect the feeling of the General Public that Meghan and Harry have burnt their boats.

Kind of " look, see - we're still welcome".

I use capitals for emphasis too. People who claim they are used for the purposes of “shouting“ are being juvenile. So the capitalisation is not in the least bit rude, in my opinion. Using italics etc on this site is stupidly confusing so I refrain.

Still lots of questions - who pays? Where's the money coming from? Are they still HRH? How long in each country? Where in Canada?

Frankly I’d have said ‘don’t let the door hit you on the way out’. There titles. HRH, security & funding should be withdrawn. Let them sink or swim.

This marriage is doomed really.
Unless Harry will be happy to be carted around as an accessory to his wife I can't see what else he can do over there.
I suppose charity work ? Stay at home dad ?
No friends or family to speak to.
The British press will turn on him and seeing his family will be difficult when he comes back.
I don't envy him really!
