I am waiting with interest to find out what happens next, following on from this afternoon's talks at Sandringham.

Poor old Queen. She can't have finished the leftover turkey yet and here she is, embroiled in another crisis.

At the time I thought it was a load of bollocks. Now I’m starting to believe these things may have happened.

Good point. Very telling that.

BillieEilish
" ...... she doesn't love him."

You may be right.
Sad
I liked Harry - he was naughty in his youth but his heart was is in the right place.
I thought Meghan was stunning. I could see why he fell for her. But she was no ingenue.
Supposedly she was asking about a possible date with Ashley Cole .
I think H was played like a violin.

BillieEilish · 13/01/2020 18:41

Yes beanaseireann I totally agree.

NumbersStation · 13/01/2020 18:42

If they go away, it would serve them right if any future ventures were not mentioned in the British press.

Or, if they really felt the need, it should be on page 3. It would save the need for a pair of...

Well, you get the drift.

The80sweregreat · 13/01/2020 18:44

I'd love to go to Hull and I would enjoy doing a job where I could go to lots of places and meet real people and learn things.
Not to be though , but I should visit more of the UK one day.
Anyway, It's good they sorted out something out. I think the British people won't be as accommodating of them next visits but have to see. Royalists tend to be a loyal bunch and forgive easily and they do have their supporters I'm sure.

Iamdobby63 · 13/01/2020 18:45

The friend quoted in that DM article states that Meghan was struggling after Archies birth (understandable) and doesn’t like living here but in the next breath says this was her plan all along...

ClickCheese · 13/01/2020 18:45

Who thought that Samantha Markle was telling the truth when she warned people what MM was like?

You must be joking Samantha Markle (who changed her name from Samantha Grant after Meghan's engagement) has shown herself to be a nasty, bitter and jealous woman.

She barely knows MM FFS.

What has MM actually done wrong? Nothing.

Butterymuffin · 13/01/2020 18:46

There is clearly an acceptance that they're going to want to retreat to Canada for a bit, but with the door left open for that to change.

EmeraldShamrock · 13/01/2020 18:48

What has MM actually done wrong? Nothing 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Rinoachicken · 13/01/2020 18:49

Thing is @Butterymuffin, They may decide after a year that they are ready and want to come back, but will the British public WANT them back.

Nothing like feeling unwanted to make people go ‘well fuck you too then!’

derxa · 13/01/2020 18:49

Meghan will be delighted....for now. Nothing is ever enough

Rumboogie · 13/01/2020 18:50

Am I the only person who feels uncomfortable that Archie, the Queens great grandson, and the future King's grandson (and later King's nephew) will be brought up in America, an American citizen (as seems likely). What are the future implications of this - not only for security, but for the dynasty etc.?

Should it even be allowed?

Although it would no doubt be v bad PR if the Queen exercised her guardianship rights. (presumably why Archie was not brought back in the first place).

ajandjjmum · 13/01/2020 18:51

I truly believe that this is unlikely to be ever forgotten by the British public. There will only ever be a lukewarm reception for them as a couple now.

PlacidPenelope · 13/01/2020 18:51

Kate's in London oh bollocks of course she is, the kids are at school... ok so she's pacing the kitchen in KP trying to get the lowdown on the meeting!

Grin I bet she is, that description would fit me to a T and has done over the years!

The80sweregreat · 13/01/2020 18:52

There will be even more speculation when they do come home ( for tax purposes) as they will all be together and everyone will be watching the body language and the looks and how frosty or not it all is.
Meghan will be aware of all this and probably stay away. The press will be all over it too.
This won't just go away I bet.

MrsBrentford · 13/01/2020 18:53

I am pretty sure they could have done this without all the din tbh Hmm

Chienloup · 13/01/2020 18:54

I don't think anyone need worry about where Archie lives. I don't think it will affect anything.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 13/01/2020 18:55

Clickcheese I agree.

Apparently Samantha was born Yvonne Markle. So she changed her name more than once.

She's also apparently estranged from her father, brother and all her own children as well as Meghan. Samantha's own mother has called her an embarrassment.

She sounds utterly poisonous and a bit of a nutcase, frankly. No wonder Meghan hadn't had contact with her for several years before she married Harry.

I think Harry will gradually realise how disrespectful he has been to his grandmother, and will slowly figure out his wife's part in it.

People hated Charlie when Diane and him divorced. They got over all that. He had his supporters. Not as many , but they were about. They also wasn't keen on Camilla but that has mostly abated over time.
Royalists forgive anything and everything eventually.

Parker231 · 13/01/2020 18:58

@Rumboogie - I read they we’re going to Canada rather than the US? Don’t see a problem with either - Canada is a commonwealth country and Archie is half American.

CoolCarrie · 13/01/2020 18:58
