I am waiting with interest to find out what happens next, following on from this afternoon's talks at Sandringham.

Poor old Queen. She can't have finished the leftover turkey yet and here she is, embroiled in another crisis.

Has that statement been added to the SussexRoyal instagram page yet??

kirinm · 13/01/2020 17:17

It was me who suggested the home secretary was a male except I actually was thinking of Sajid Javid not Priti Petal. I know the difference but replied in haste. He's normally wheeled out to say absolutely nothing is ever racist or ever islamaphobic and now they've got PP to do the same. Couldn't ask for more from such an abhorrent woman.

TheMustressMhor · 13/01/2020 17:18

Interesting that it came out at precisely the time the Queen always stops work for her afternoon tea.

Wow. What a statement!

Does anybody have a link to the full video of Meghan cutting across a Harry? Apparently it’s on YouTube. But I can’t find it.

crispysausagerolls · 13/01/2020 17:19

I wonder what the Queen really thinks though - it’s not like she is going to release a statement saying “what a bitch!”

derxa · 13/01/2020 17:19

May I ask why people are so downright rude about places like Hull? Philip Larkin worked there so that makes it good enough for me.
Exactly. At least English places are mentioned. What about Motherwell, Livingston and Cowdenbeath?

birdchestbeautiful · 13/01/2020 17:19

The statement says nothing.

kirinm · 13/01/2020 17:20

PATEL not petal.

birdchestbeautiful · 13/01/2020 17:20

Also, Hull is lovely, obvs. Visit Hull.

astralweaks · 13/01/2020 17:21

The video where she rudely walks and beans and stuff in front of Harry is truly breathtaking. She has no clue.

SunsetBoulevard3 · 13/01/2020 17:21

Harry will have been given options to discuss with the Big Chief.

astralweaks · 13/01/2020 17:21

walks and blabs

MrsBrentford · 13/01/2020 17:21

My dad is from Hull.

It’s a shithole.

scaryteacher · 13/01/2020 17:21

So, Harry is being offered a way back if needed and no final decisions have yet been made. No reliance on public funds therefore means no security or Duchy money? Far better Duchy money is reinvested in the Duchy or the Prices Trust than on the Harry/Markle duo (don't mind for Archie though.

PlacidPenelope · 13/01/2020 17:22

astral I think people are trying to convey how they think Harry and Meghan view places and their inhabitants by using the remarks about Hull, Stoke-on-Trent, etc. It seems that those places and their people are not glamorous or special enough for the likes of Harry and Meghan, they want the glitterati and their homes and surroundings in wealthier and sunnier climes.

MrsBrentford · 13/01/2020 17:22

I don’t think the Duchy money is classed as “public” Confused

astralweaks · 13/01/2020 17:22

I prefer Priti Petal! Lol.

GlitchStitch · 13/01/2020 17:23

She wasn't kidding about needing her tea at 5 was she.

diddl · 13/01/2020 17:23

Reads to me as if they are being given time to sort themselves out & yes a way back in for Harry if necessary.

OutFoxxedByABadger · 13/01/2020 17:23

"Act 3 scene 2" in the thread title is really bad taste.

This isn't a stage show, whatever you think of them they are real live humans. Thos is their life, not a sodding soap opera for our entertainment Angry

astralweaks · 13/01/2020 17:24

@PlacidPenelope
Yes, I get the point but endlessly using the same place as an example is nasty.

I also like Act 3 Scene 2.

scaryteacher · 13/01/2020 17:25

Kirinm It was me who suggested the home secretary was a male You suggested nothing, but were quite emphatic (in capitals, which is shouting) when I said the Home Secretary was a woman. Others very kindly corrected your error.

Javid is the Chancellor of the Exchequer, and has been for a while.

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 13/01/2020 17:25

Oh that video is excruciating @Fraggot Crown Shock
