To expect DH to cover builders bum

My husband embarrasses me because he refuses to pull up his trousers to hide his builders bum. Approximately 5-7inches of solid crack multiple times a day.

It's been like this since day on of relationship. I ask and he pretends to or pulls his shirt over instead. He has no shame, he doesn't go red or anything. When we have guests they've had to look away in embarrassment also. My family and his have called him out on it. Our kids too.

He says weight and low balls is why he can't pull up his trousers more. Other times he says he has done it or has he hands full or CBA.

Naked he has no bum. No they probably just slide down.

It's really giving me the Ick.

Aibu to expect him to cover it?

Throw pens and pencils in the crack?

My husband he is scratching his balls all the time. I had a million arguments and discussed about this... He just doesn't understand... When is someone around, or kids near him I just throw a blanket on him. 🙈🙈🙈

Low balls? Buy him some supportive pants.

Buy him a belt? Drawstring trackie bottoms?

Is there such thing as push-up pants for the lower slung package? Maybe we should patent it if not. Someone ring dragons den.

I've tried ball lifting undies, still happens. He doesn't like wearing belts or jeans and it happens even with drawstring bottoms and shorts etc.

Get him some dungarees. :o

My DH does this though it’s only an inch or so of butt crack. I find it a massive turn off and an embarrassment too. He doesn’t seem to care that it makes him look a bit slobby.

My DH wears his jeans( with a belt!) too low, I suspect because his beer belly makes it uncomfortable to hook them up higher. He also has no butt so nothing to fill the material out.

His balls are not so heavy and pendulous they're dragging his pants and jeans down by 6".

Do you think he quite likes having his arse on display? I can't think of another explanation for him not making attempts to avoid it happening ie wearing trousers that fit, putting on a belt or braces.

Throw all of his trousers away and replace with dungarees.

My Dh has no bum and a big belly but I'm 30 years he has never shown a builders bum except maybe getting out of the swimming pool and even then he tries not to.
Can you video Dh and show him? I can't imagine how anybody is happy showing that and I would hate to see it

My DH is the exact same. Its repulsive and embarrassing and upsetting but every time I mention it it turns into a huge argument. I think it shows so little respect for the rest of us in the family. No advice I'm afraid, I'm weary of it.

Suspenders would perhaps be humilating enough to make him pull up?

Start taking photos of him from his least sexy side and tell him or buy him extra long t-shirts. The only other thing you can do is start copying him, perhaps he will see the light then .

My husband does the “top of the boxers showing” and it’s infuriating so I totally understand how you feel. My friends and family all know what underwear he wears and I cringe every time. I have no advice, sorry.

FFS, men and their fecking testicles. Also supposedly the reason they have to sit with their legs at a 90-degree angle on public transport.

Of all the spurious reasons he's given you, I suspect "CBA" to be the most likely.

I was an idiot, I thought he would change and pull them up. I also saw past it then. We were having a lot of fun. Years down the line, if we divorced tomorrow I would cite this as the sole reason.

I make a huge effort for him. I shave to his requests, get my hair done often, full makeup face, I dress well when we go out and in the house I wear "posh" pjs and makeup. I get my eyebrows done, wax my top lip. I get Botox too. Not all for him no, also for me, but I want to look good and I don't want to embarrass him. Pisses me off he can't do this one damn thing.

This should solve the bare bum thing, not the visible underwear. Now you just need to find them or make your dh sow extra elastic into his shorts .
