...Scene One?

I think we probably do need a third thread.

what a bored housewives bitch-fest

So you can’t fathom how anyone could care about this but you took time to write your post to weigh into the debate.

You can’t understand how any of us can speak like we know the people involved. Yet somehow you know all the posters are married unemployed females?

“Bored housewives” is a sexist term used to put women in their place.

But you’re Ms Perfect, with your far more important thoughts.

DeRigueurMortis · 12/01/2020 19:33

I think the person who they should have at that meeting is Princess Anne Grin.

I'm confident that she wouldn't put up with any crap nor be impressed by any self indulgent whining.

I'd bet she'd have it all wrapped up before lunch was served.

Rinoachicken · 12/01/2020 19:34

@Fuzzyhair89

Not forgetting all the stick Kate got for her ‘wardrobe malfunctions’ in the early days before she figured out she needed to get her hemlines weighted down in the wind! 😂

DeeZastris · 12/01/2020 19:34

Princess Ann rocks.

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 12/01/2020 19:34

I do wonder if PH will be able to play the hard ball he and Meghan seem to have decided on once he's in a room with loved family members and M isn't there with him.

Needmorecaffine · 12/01/2020 19:35

@Rinoachicken I do hope so 🤣

derxa · 12/01/2020 19:35

And I'm also sick of all the crap about her Dad. She was singing his praises on the Tig, about how he supported and encouraged her, drove her to auditions, paid for stuff. I suspect he became a bit of an embarrassment when she moved up in the world, bit scruffy and uncouth and his fate didn't fit. Yes I think that's it. She just couldn't picture him at her fancy wedding with her new fancy friends. It's narcissistic behaviour. When Harry begins to bore her he'll get the same treatment.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 12/01/2020 19:35

Can we have Ann in charge? Like, of everything?

Lifeover · 12/01/2020 19:35

I find H&M’s actions v bullying. Forcing the royal family’ s hand in public.

Remove their titles, stop financially supporting them. See what injunctions can be put in place to stop them making money out of being ex royals and off they go.

Feel so sorry for William.

Let’s hope no more of the RF marry divorced Americans- never seems to end well.

GlitchStitch · 12/01/2020 19:36

I'm trying to imagine the scene, Meghan having her say to the Queen via conference call like she's negotiating a film role. She's got some chutzpah, I'll give her that.

DeRigueurMortis · 12/01/2020 19:36

Yep I'd be happy for Anne to run the show Grin

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 12/01/2020 19:37

Bore off Suzey, there's a dear Smile

Needmorecaffine · 12/01/2020 19:37

Anne would definitely tell her who the fucking queen is. 🤣

ElspethFlashman · 12/01/2020 19:37

Philip lives in Wood Farm which is a farmhouse on the estate.

Just him and a valet apparently. He finds the main house too noisy and full of people and annoying. It was always his version of his "Man Shed" but since retirement a couple of years ago he's moved in full time.

He reads and paints and people visit him there. The Queen visits twice a week and the grandkids visit a lot. Peter Philips is meant to be often there, he's a great favourite of Philips.

I thought it'd take nothing short of a bomb to get him back into the main house but here we are.

Rinoachicken · 12/01/2020 19:38

@ElspethFlashman

Lots of stairs and a long trek to the loo in the main house as well I’d imagine

DeeZastris · 12/01/2020 19:38

Such a shame that Ann isn’t next in line for the throne.

GlitchStitch · 12/01/2020 19:40

That's quite sweet if that's true about Philip. I've always considered myself a republican but I'm finding myself feeling really protective of the Queen right now. They really don't deserve this shit, especially at their ages and with Philip's ill health.

Needmorecaffine · 12/01/2020 19:41

Anne backed up by her daughter Zara. It could be a scene out of Jeremy Kyle

time4chocolate · 12/01/2020 19:41

Would defo like to be a fly on the wall if Anne was there Grin

SallyB392 · 12/01/2020 19:42

I think the bit that makes me uncomfortable is the way this has been very carefully planned out. Even the dogs were shipped out. They had so much opportunity to discuss and make plans with HRH prior to this week. It's all very strange, but then I think some of their behaviour has been strange since the wedding. Megan was a divorcee, but she wore a WHITE dress (I think most would have worn an ivory gown), & a full wedding mass.......I thought divorcee could only have a blessing?

Then there was Archies birth, and all the ridiculous photos or lack of them. I honestly don't understand why they feel so beleaguered, I really do think much of the media intrusion is as a direct result of their behaviour, and their disrespect of the British public, who after all fund their lifestyles.

DeeZastris · 12/01/2020 19:42

I’m a republican too but I’m stunned that this pair of chancers think it’s acceptable to treat his very elderly grandparents like this and his dad and brother too.

NumbersStation · 12/01/2020 19:43

I agree @lifeover

It could have been dealt with quietly but it seemed to be all done for the drama.

If I’d have brought shame and upset to my granny’s door I would not have forgiven myself.

I am a bit past my prime now and would not bring it to my mam’s door either. You just don’t.

lostsoulsunited · 12/01/2020 19:44

both girls were playing around the pool while Fergie was having her toes sucked nearby.

I can just imagine the conversation, delivered at full volume as only small children know how of course. Cue the other 18-30 holiday makers dropping the books and listening in.

Beatrice : Eugenie, look what he's doing to Mummy's foot
Eugenie: He's tickling Mummy's foot
Beatrice: But why is he doing it with his mouth?
Eugenie: I don't know but Mummy looks like she's enjoying it.

ajandjjmum · 12/01/2020 19:44

There was a time I would have agreed with you Dee, but I've come round to C & C of late.

Rinoachicken · 12/01/2020 19:45

I thought divorcee could only have a blessing?

It’s at the discretion of the vicar/priest in the Anglican Church.

Charles and Camilla did a registry office and then church blessing. But they were both divorcees.
