I think we probably do need a third thread.

When Kate ate avocado it was a cute cure for morning sickness, but when Meghan did it she was fueling exploitation and abuse. And then the nonsense about the dark nail polish.

And that was just the tip of the iceberg. It's not hard to imagine why they want to fuck off.

Rumours have it she was quite offended that Kate wasn't all girly and intimate with her.

She herself seems to have girlfriends that are very demonstrative and huggy and supportive and "you go girl" and inspirational-quote.

I think Kate was just normal and she took it for offhandedness.

But tbh if she thinks sisters-in-law (-in-law!) are anything other than cordial, then she's delusional.

I just give my brothers partner the odd "like" on Facebook tbh. The odd "Heard DC had a rotten flu, hope he's OK!". The odd funny meme that's doing the rounds. The odd photo of kids in Halloween costumes etc.

But definitely not in each others pockets!

I don't mean this to sound offensive either but Americans are different to the British. In a complete nice way I think I would struggle to be American just as they possibly would struggle to be British.

I just think if they can't stick together as a family and to the job then they may aswell get rid of the royal family. Lately it has become a shambles. Thinks have been fairly good since the Diana days. Kate was a very positive addition. It has been lovely seeing her become a mum. You don't feel Kate struggles or has any issues with her role. She's such a natural.

Now you've got all this stuff with Andrew and obviously Meghan and Harry. Meghan obviously doesn't like the UK or the role. Such a shame. Im 30 and was looking forward to seeing this generation supporting eachother when William eventually became king. I honestly thought Harry would be a strong support by his side. I think Diana would be really sad her boys are so seperate now.

I would imagine that all the ‘camps’ have been working behind the scenes in the run up to this meeting; so W&K will have sat down with their team and decided on their ‘red lines’ as it were, PoW will have doe the same with his team (and probably joined with Wills since any future financial commitment he makes to Harry now re the Duchy would need to involve William. Harry, well we all know what his and Meghan’s plans are. The queen will have sought her own legal advice.

Then the four of them come together as the respective heads of their teams.

Yes Marsha that pic is a good reminder of those days. The press were a pack of absolute fucking baying hyenas back then and she was thrown to them at 19 - becoming better at playing game as she got older, obviously.

I find it utterly baffling how can anybody, ANYBODY can:

a) give a shit (Australia is burning, you know, and we’re on the verge of WW3 FFS)
b) find it in any way acceptable to condone relentless bullying of a person just because they receive money from the state (WTAF! They’re dancing monkeys now are they? Do we get to put them in stocks and throw tomatoes at them too?)
c) speak as if they in any way know the situation or the ppl involved. ‘She’s manipulative’, ‘she’s going to leave him’, ‘she’s a cheat’. Get a grip. You have no idea what she’s like! You really don’t.
d) can repeat this kind of rhetoric after what happened to Diana.
e) let’s be honest, a man would never be torn apart in this way.

Twenty years ago when Diana died, these are the same ppl who wept buckets outside Kensington Palace and decried the gutter press. Today they are hounding Meghan using virtually identical language under the guise of ‘scrutiny’. Bullying has become so normalised in the UK. It’s really f-ing sad.

We teach our kids not to judge people we don’t know based on here say and the rubbish churned out by the tabloids yet the thread is full of it. What’s that phrase? Don’t judge somebody until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes. This really isn’t mumsnets finest hour.

If that ain't an indication of how pissed off he is, I don't know what is.

I think Meghan needs to be thicker skinned if she's struggling to cope with the media publishing shite about nail varnish and holding a bump it crossing her legs.Journalists have so much space to fill they need to write any bit of shite they can.
