To wonder why everyone hates Katie Price?

News stories over Christmas have zoned right in on her misery ... people seem to be loving the fact that she’s having a shit time.

It’s like “Katie price to spend Christmas Day alone!”
“Katie Price loses mucky mansion days before christmas!”
Katie Price to spend Christmas without her kids!”

Then a ridiculous headline yesterday : “Huge row erupts on Christmas Day as Katie Price’s kids argue with Peter” ... turns out it was based on a daft instagram video Junior posted showing how he’d pranked his sister with a joke present and she pretended to be annoyed ...

I’m not a fan of Katie Price either but why the venom?

I don't enjoy seeing someone being miserable, but I don't feel particularly sorry for her either as all her misery is self inflicted. She doesn't seem to care too much about other people, so it would be strange to expect people, especially strangers, to care about her.

I don’t think everyone does hate her.

I think the media are very busy posting her every move.

Katie alone Christmas Day. She was with Harvey.

She has the kids alternate Christmas so one Christmas she has all the kids one Christmas she doesn’t so why it’s news I have no idea.

I do think she has failed to prioritise her kids, I watched the kids reaction to her plastic surgery on tv not long ago.

I don’t hate her bored of reading nothing about her

Well I wouldn't say I "hate" her as I don't know her personally and don't watch her shows. But from what I know of the woman I certainly think she;s shallow, selfish and desperate. She lurches from one relationship to the next popping out babies - it's all about her with no thought for the children. She is not bright enough to think through her actions. She is held up as some empowered female businesswoman when she's anything but. Her poor kids - they did not ask to have such a car crash of a parent.

It’s what the British press do. They build these people up for ages and ages and then throw themselves into knocking them back down later on.

Katie Price is a massive bellend (she refers to herself as “The Pricey” fgs) and has no doubt pissed off a lot of people in the media industry over the years so maybe they’re quite enjoying her crashing and burning. Not condoning that but I can definitely imagine that’s happening to a degree.

I don't hate her but I don't think she is a good parent. I would say that about any woman who introduced boyfriend after boyfriend to her children.

I do feel sorry for her actually. I don't know what the issue is, but she doesn't seem well a lot of the time. I know she's been accused of drinking too much, taking drugs etc. Think it's all very sad tbh and I don't think she's altogether well and definitely doesn't seem to have a happy life. But maybe that's how she is portrayed in the press and actually she's fine?

I feel sorry for her. She is emotionally damaged and her self esteem is so fragile. She has been manipulated by the media, men and managers. She courts public attention (hence the constant stream of weddings and surgery) but it never gives her what she truly wants - love and acceptance. Every time I see her I just see an insecure, vulnerable woman. I feel oddly maternal towards her, despite being younger than her.

Can’t say I was ever a fan. She seems mean.

I’ll tell you why the DM keeps reporting these stories. Because the sidebar of shame is based solely on analytics. Every time you click on a story, they see a spike. If they see a spike on every Katie Price story then they will do more Katie Price stories. It’s as simple as that.

If you don’t like them, stop clicking on them. They’ll divert their resources elsewhere.

I don’t think she has ‘blown £42m’ though, has she? At one point it is said she was ‘worth’ that figure but it would have included everything, her businesses and assets but that would not have been liquid cash for her to spend. The fashion business hit the wall very quickly and would have swallowed a lot of money in the process. Her ‘writing’ career was short lived (as well as being ghost written), I doubt she saw much of the ££ from her books. I find it very hard to believe she was ever worth that figure. It seems like a very optimistic number.

She gives the press the stories.

Like that Lisa Appleton person, she is not famous yet the Mirror constantly has stories on her because she gives the stories and photo poses. Heard she does it for free because she gets the attention and the press get the clicks when people comment and message on who this woman is.

I don't read any stories about KP, I am not interested. I have to say though I prefer her to Peter A, he comes across as very smug.

The stories are click bait rubbish.

Why would anyone hate her? Most simply find it hard to sympathise I think. Especially those of us who work hard for a lot less money and have stick to tight budgets to avoid getting into debt.
