Oh my goodness it looks like it's diseased. What does it smell like?

FlamingoAndJohn · 25/12/2019 10:30

I don’t eat meat but that looks off to me. Sorry.

dimsum123 · 25/12/2019 10:30

Definitely.

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 25/12/2019 10:30

It doesn’t look great

Is it off, ummm I don’t know

MT2017 · 25/12/2019 10:30

Envy yuk.

wokingpizzaexpress · 25/12/2019 10:31

Awk op do you have any back up... chicken in the freezer?

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 25/12/2019 10:31

Actually looking again is that green mould?

When did you buy it?

BiteyShark · 25/12/2019 10:31

Is it off or is that a patch of the feathers that haven't been plucked fully. Hard to tell from those pictures.

Unwrap it and smell it.

SarahTancredi · 25/12/2019 10:31

I'd say yes. Ew.

RJnomore1 · 25/12/2019 10:32

Oh dear

Do you have a substitute?

Haworthia · 25/12/2019 10:32

Are you sure those aren’t blobs of badly distributed herb butter or stuffing? Is it one of those ready prepared roast in the bag birds?

BuffaloCauliflower · 25/12/2019 10:32

Definitely not ok. Send those pictures to wherever you bought it from and complain loudly.

For now - anything in the freezer? Chicken, other meat?

RJnomore1 · 25/12/2019 10:32

Yeah open it and take another photo?

y0rkier0se · 25/12/2019 10:33

It’s in a cook in the bag bag so can’t smell it. It’s not mould I don’t think. I’ve got a gammon but no chicken back up Xmas Sad

y0rkier0se · 25/12/2019 10:33

I’ve got a raging cold so can’t bloody smell anything

OP posts:
P1nkHeartLovesCake · 25/12/2019 10:33

It’s just gammon for you today then!

Do complain with photo evidence to the shop after Christmas though

sippingcoffee · 25/12/2019 10:34

Might be a patch of feathers or a bruise - turkeys bruise very easily
Open it and give it 5-10 mins then smell it - you need a few mins after opening as they are strong smelling when first opened

Singlenotsingle · 25/12/2019 10:34

A lot of people who bought their turkeys in Aldi were complaining about them yesterday

Libertylee · 25/12/2019 10:35

Is it from Aldi? I think they had a run of turkeys going off. Hope you can find something else to replace it

y0rkier0se · 25/12/2019 10:35

It is Aldi. Bloody hell!

BiteyShark · 25/12/2019 10:36

The second picture looks like a patch of feathers not fully plucked. We had a few patches of them on our fresh turkey.

toddytoff · 25/12/2019 10:36

That’s absolutely vile. Sorry OP! Hope you still enjoy your Christmas lunch

Singlenotsingle · 25/12/2019 10:38

Don't open it. You'll never get rid of the smell

BiteyShark · 25/12/2019 10:38

The only way to tell is open the bag to check and smell it. You can then cook it normally without a bag if it is ok.

Thescrewinthetuna · 25/12/2019 10:38

That looks minging OMG. I did see on a few news sites that loads of people had ‘off’ turkeys from Aldi
