though rhubarb was referring to Kate Moss, speedymama

CatIsSleepy · 21/08/2007 12:24

thought, that should have said...

CountessDracula · 21/08/2007 12:26

But if you don't like him don't read about him! it's not like he comes into your house and sits on your sofa jacking up is it?

If you choose to read shite papers and celebrity obsessed magazines then you only have yourself to blame

Rhubarb · 21/08/2007 12:27

No popstars don't have to be squeaky clean, but neither should be have to put up with them getting away with crimes most of us ordinary people would be sent down for. Drink driving, driving whilst stoned, supplying drugs, taking class A drugs, drunk and disorderly, abh, you name it they've done it and they are still allowed to roam amongst us flaunting their wealth.

They should have their assets frozen and their kids taken from them until they can prove that they are well enough to care for another human being.

And if they are caught doing something illegal they should GET SENT DOWN, not given a paltry fine that is the equivalent of half a days wages!

They think they are invincible and can do what they like. Time we showed them that they can't I think.

Oooh, I'm getting all Daily Mail!

CountessDracula · 21/08/2007 12:28

He's a lightweight compared to the likes of Keith Richards or Brian Wilson or Iggy Pop or Johnny Cash (i could go on for ages) in their heydey - it's just that they weren't hounded every moment of the night and day by the gutter press and splashed all over crappy magazines devoured by celebrity-obsessed morons

CountessDracula · 21/08/2007 12:29

I think you'll find they don't send down non-celeb heroin addicts who are found with enough drugs for personal use either, they stick them in rehab. Only very repeat offences result in prison because as everyone knows there are more drugs in prison than on the streets. It's only if they get caught committing crimes to fund their habits that they get sent down

whiskeyandbeer · 21/08/2007 12:29

i'm more annoyed by the amount of press that is wasted on him.
i liked his libertine albums but he just seems an absolute cock of a person.
but then again if i was gonna hate every rock star who did drugs there'd be very little left on my ipod.

HappyDaddy · 21/08/2007 12:30

CD, that's it put him and Keith Richards in a room together and see if either come out alive.

CountessDracula · 21/08/2007 12:31

come on maaan, Keef is a walking talking monument to drugs and alcohol, he would beat Pete hands down!

HappyDaddy · 21/08/2007 12:32

Keith is an absolute legend. I'm thinking now that my disdain for Pete is purely because he isn't in the same league as the likes of Keith. He just gets the headlines.

speedymama · 21/08/2007 12:32

Ooops, OK.

PD and the Wino would make a lovely couple imo. Neither of them would ever remember to buy food or soap.

HappyDaddy · 21/08/2007 12:33

Ahhh Jim Morrison, too. (wipes a wistful tear from my eye)

CountessDracula · 21/08/2007 12:33

Read this book it is fab and will show you what a lightweight baby PD is

Shoshable · 21/08/2007 12:34

Believe it or not Pete Doherty's father is our Army Welfare worker, and is a fantastic guy, cant do enough for you, what went wrong with his son? (although DS who went to school with him said he was a nob then too).

CountessDracula · 21/08/2007 12:34

Summary: Nick Kent hangs out with and takes drugs with lots of junkie pop stars. Comes to conclusion that Keef is the only one who didn't get fucked up by it and genuinely just loves being out of his head

CatIsSleepy · 21/08/2007 12:34

just seen the following on wikipedia

'At Leeds Festival, Doherty attempted to assault Johnny Borrell, lead singer of fellow band Razorlight, but was subdued.'

...and my opinion of our pete has suddenly improved

if there's one person that's more irritating than pete himself it's johnny bleedin borrell...

Rhubarb · 21/08/2007 12:36

CD, PD is a repeat offender.
Also I think you'll find that if you drink and drive, or drive whilst under the influence, you get sent down as Paris Hilton did. Not sent to some plush rehab.

And as for rehab, these places are not for us ordinary people you know.

Not that the celebs can even be arsed to stay in these places for very long. Does rehab actually work at all? For anyone?

CountessDracula · 21/08/2007 12:37

No idea never been
(they wanted me to but I said no no no )

nailpolish · 21/08/2007 12:37

i bet he stinks to high heaven and his tiny little white worm of a cock is as flaccid as a burst balloon
yuk
he is basically a weedy twat

kate needs to get a REal Man

Wisteria · 21/08/2007 12:37

As CD says, it's nothing new - think of Status Quo, Happy Mondays, Stone Roses, Beatles, Stones, even Bryan Ferry; most of the 'greats' have indulged. The only difference is that the paparazzi get paid more for snapping it. Stop buying the tabloids and crap mags and the reporting will stop too!

CountessDracula · 21/08/2007 12:38

Rhubarb you DO sound like DM reader btw

Maybe you should go and rearrange your antimacassars or something rather than worrying about this...

CatIsSleepy · 21/08/2007 12:38

status quo?!

CountessDracula · 21/08/2007 12:39

Wisteria · 21/08/2007 12:39

Rick Parfitt did so much coke he lost his septum a la Daniella Westbrook! Or were you at 'greats'

nailpolish · 21/08/2007 12:39
