AIBU?

To get my lips done even though there's nothing technically work with them?

I've attached a pic.

I've been so tempted to get lip fillers put in. There's nothing wrong with my lips per se, but I'd like them bigger. DH thinks I'm being stupid as there's nothing 'wrong' with them. Am I? I feel like the balance is off and I'd like them fuller, also a more defined Cupid's bow. TIA.

You have lovely lips. All of the ‘done’ lips that I’ve ever come across are so obviously done and host look wrong. Leave them alone!

You really don't need to.

Someone keeps telling me the ratio of 'fullness' is off and that my top lip should be fuller. That, and I think my Cupid's bow could be more defined.

It’s such a bad look IMO & can only condone it personally if you have really thin lips. You don’t need lip injections but if you personally like that Lip injections look

Guess it’s not permanent but I just don’t see a need when you have full lips already.

Honestly this was my first thought. Your body to take risks as you see fit, of course.

They look like a perfectly fine pair of lips to me! Please take your DH's advice as they will almost certainly not look as nice with fillers.

Who on Earth keeps telling you that crap?

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Seriously, why would you mess around with your lips? They look really nice as they are and there's so much could go wrong. Lip fillers can look so false. I don't think they look 'off' but if you're not happy then use a bit of natural lip colour to define them better.

I think they're lovely; and any surgery would just enhance any potential imbalance that you see... but if you want it, do it. It's your body:

Who is telling you that? I wish mine were like yours!

Just go somewhere very, very good. Don’t go somewhere cheap, or with an inexperienced/new practitioner. Don’t fall for social media hype. Because you may end up with more problems than you start with!

@prawnsword you can only “condone” it if they are thin. Who are you to condone anything anyone chooses to do

Leave them as they are!

OP you d what makes you happy. Your body, your face. Your choice.

Your lips, do what you want.
However, don't bother coming back in 6 months time to say people are mocking you : they will, you will look ridiculous.

Honestly, it's simple. You would be mad to tamper with your perfect lips.

I feel like my bottom lip is bigger on one side too?

Why 'should' your top lip be fuller? The person that keeps telling you this really needs to find a better way to spend their time than unnecessarily criticising you. Your lips are normal. Trout pout does not look normal... it looks horrendous. Please don't do it.

Do it if you want, but it never looks good. It always makes people look worse, so much worse and it’s so embarrassing, so obvious.

Fillers never look good, straight on like your pic they look good, turn to any other angle and they are plain obvious. I’m not against plastic surgery but lip fillers look bad (unless I have just seen all the OTT versions)

Yours are double the fullness of mine! You don't need to change them.

Is the smudge in your Cupid’s bow makeup or your natural colour? And what about around the edge of your bottom lip?

If it’s makeup, it’s the makeup that makes your lips look unbalanced.

If it’s your natural colouring, I’m not sure that filler would define your Cupid’s bow much more due to the shape of your top lip. You could definitely have more volume though so they look more pouty than flat.

I'd kill for the lips you already have!

Sorry not helpful, but if you think it'll make you happy then go for it, but imo you don't need it.

FYI most people will be looking to get lips like yours so don’t waste what you have naturally. They are awesome as they are
