To get my lips done even though there's nothing technically work with them?

I've attached a pic.

I've been so tempted to get lip fillers put in. There's nothing wrong with my lips per se, but I'd like them bigger. DH thinks I'm being stupid as there's nothing 'wrong' with them. Am I? I feel like the balance is off and I'd like them fuller, also a more defined Cupid's bow. TIA.

A few people have had it done at work and I find it very difficult to talk to them without staring. Every one of them looked better before. Now I think I probably come across as a weirdo as I maintain eye contact so as not to stare at the lips, or just forget what I am saying and replace with lips lips lips. You have beautiful looking lips, please don't risk that.

nurseyn · 23/11/2019 22:27

As requested, a zoomed-out picture to give a better perspective. Hopefully MNHQ won't be mad on Monday when I ask them to delete it Blush

Sorry, not requested per se, but to give a better perspective of the imbalance and ratio.

You could definitely try a little bit.
You certainly won't look done if you only have 0.5ml.
A little sharper Cupid's bow and a little extra to to top (particularly your top right, as this side is a little smaller).
Just make sure you go to someone reputable, who is trained in complications management.
Check out their previous work.
Not all practitioners are good at lip filler. Lips are tricky!

Squidsister · 23/11/2019 22:30

Valkarie I find that too, whenever I am talking to someone who has had their lips done I just get distracted and the more I try not to stare at their lips the more I do and I then I can't remember what they have said Blush
OP please don't! Why? Your lips are lovely!

user1494621907 · 23/11/2019 22:31

absolutely not!! they are fine, I think you need to look at the hole in your soul first!! You are obsessing on your lips when you shouldbe looking at that, god bless

Reallynowdear · 23/11/2019 22:33

@Lilonetwo

You are out of order, stop promoting shit

FizzyIce · 23/11/2019 22:36

I’ve never seen anyone with lip fillers that actually looks good.
There’s a really attractive mum at the school ,quite young I reckon but she’s ruined her face with these huge lips , it’s terrible.
This is just a fad like huge breast implants and it will fade just like they have

Branleuse · 23/11/2019 22:36

You've got really nice lips. Rosebud lips. I dont think you should get anything done. The pumped lips thing is a fashion that needs to die a death soon.

underthebridgedowntown · 23/11/2019 22:37

OP you're stunning - ignore anyone who says you need anything changing about your appearance. Please don't let the comments from this member of your family get under you're skin, focus on being kind to yourself and I hope you feel better soon Thanks

Lilonetwo · 23/11/2019 22:37

Reallynowdear
Shock
I can't really be bothered to come up with a reply to that.

Reallynowdear · 23/11/2019 22:37

@lilonetwo

What do you mean by 'complications management"?

MistyCloud · 23/11/2019 22:40

NO NO NO!

Why do girls/women with such nice lips and pretty faces, go and ruin their face by pumping crap into it? Sad

I have seen so many young women ruin their face over this past 3 or 4 years.

The f*cking Kardashians and TOWIE etc have got a lot to answer to. Hmm

Please @nurseyn Stay as you are. Your lips are cute as f*ck!

AtrociousCircumstance · 23/11/2019 22:41

OP. It always looks shit. And it makes the people who have it done look like total idiots for doing something so stupid.

Reallynowdear · 23/11/2019 22:42

@Lilonetwo

That's ok but please clarify, if you are a professional cosmetic surgeon, this shouldn't phase you at all.

nurseyn · 23/11/2019 22:43

@AtrociousCircumstance I know what you're saying, you can tell when someone's done it. But there's a mum at school (stunning, blonde, fake tan, lip fillers- I live somewhere very small) who everyone says is attractive. I just don't feel attractive at all and thought maybe something like this would help Sad

nespressowoo · 23/11/2019 22:43

@Lilonetwo just shut up.

OP - you are beautiful and so are your lips! Don't bother with fillers. There is honestly no need.

Lilonetwo · 23/11/2019 22:44

Reallynowdear
Complications management. This means knowing what to do when complications arise.

Shockingly it isn't a mandatory part of Foundation aesthetics training.

Lilonetwo · 23/11/2019 22:46

Reallynowdear Sorry cross post. I'm a qualified Aesthetics Practitioner. I'm also a health care professional.

AtrociousCircumstance · 23/11/2019 22:47

Oh OP no, making your lips look horrible won’t help!

That blonde mum is obviously going for a very specific look but there are so many versions of beautiful and attractive.

Don’t waste your money making your face look freakish, go and spend it on something that makes you feel awesome. Amazing day out, or new clothes/haircut...

ChristmasOnTheHorizon · 23/11/2019 22:48

Where is the zoomed out photo? I can't see it?

Your lips look lovely in the first pic, not thin at all! No idea why someone was criticising them wtf.

nurseyn · 23/11/2019 22:49

@AtrociousCircumstance don't get me wrong, she looks fab. And the blonde hair is always something I've been envious of (not sure it'd suit me though!). It jus seems to be the 'in' thing now.

FlossieTeacakesFurCoat18 · 23/11/2019 22:51

Please don't do it OP. As people have said, fillers tend to look unnatural and horrible. You have perfectly lovely lips and your family member (sister?) is bonkers. You could get your lips done to please them and they'd find something else to pick on.
