To get my lips done even though there's nothing technically work with them?

I've attached a pic.

I've been so tempted to get lip fillers put in. There's nothing wrong with my lips per se, but I'd like them bigger. DH thinks I'm being stupid as there's nothing 'wrong' with them. Am I? I feel like the balance is off and I'd like them fuller, also a more defined Cupid's bow. TIA.

I think your lips are fine, but if I'm honest, I think lip fillers would enhance them so much more, but do not make the top lip bigger than the bottom. A good DR, will be able to contour your lips also, but I think you should leave the shape alone, its beautiful.

MattBerrysHair · 23/11/2019 22:53

But there's a mum at school (stunning, blonde, fake tan, lip fillers- I live somewhere very small) who everyone says is attractive. I just don't feel attractive at all and thought maybe something like this would help

The problem isn't your lips, your lips are actually lovely. it's your low self-esteem.

BTW stunning, blonde, fake tan, lip fillers sounds fake and very unattractive to me.

TheMildManneredMilitant · 23/11/2019 22:53

OP- firstly your lips look lovely, and I'm with everyone else who says that 'done' lips always look fake (and I don't like the fake look, but if you do I guess that's your choice).
Secondly- who the fk gets to decide that lips have to be a 0.25 ratio or other shite?? But hugs to you. Because even if you know this it must be hard not to doubt yourself when someone is telling you this on a regular basis.

cardibach · 23/11/2019 22:56

@nurseynThere isn’t a zoomed out photo when 8 look (on website, not app where problems sometimes arise). Just your post saying you are posting it.

Lindy2 · 23/11/2019 22:56

I have never seen any good results from lip fillers.

Most look like a cross between a duck's beak or a cat's bum.

You have a lovely shaped mouth. If you want to make it looked plumped up do it with make up techniques.

Tartyflette · 23/11/2019 22:56

I am close to a lovely striking looking young woman (not a relative but close) but when I saw her recently after a couple of month I was horrified by what she had had done to her face.
I didn't say anything of course but I could have wept. She was lovely before with natural lips, quite normal in shape and colour but not especially full. Not too thin either! Perhaps slightly thinner than yours OP.
Now.... well she looks like someone has taken a mini air pump to them and inflated them. It is instantly noticeable and so fake-looking. And she has to keep them 'topped up' every few months. Madness.

Oilyoilyoilgob · 23/11/2019 22:57

I think your lips look beautiful. However if your conscious of evenness you could consider tattooing? This would give the evenness without adding volume.

But just to reiterate-I think your lips look perfect as they are 😊

MrsFoxPlus4Again · 23/11/2019 22:57

I had lip fillers just because 3 years ago and I already had big lips, only really defined them and the novelty wore off. Yours are beautiful. If you do try it I recommend only getting 0.5ml of a thin filler.

Tartanrug123 · 23/11/2019 22:57

Definitely don't think you should.. People get fillers so their lips will look like yours!

housebuyingistheworst · 23/11/2019 23:00

Your lips are very pretty. If you see so many flaws in them you should either get help to build your self esteem or spend less time staring into the mirror.

ursuslemonade · 23/11/2019 23:00

Please leave it alone!
Your lips really suit your face.

nurseyn · 23/11/2019 23:01

You are also very pretty OP.

Miniloso · 23/11/2019 23:04

Got it now! Your lips are great. You are great. Don’t do anything!

Tartyflette · 23/11/2019 23:05

Wow! Your lips are really, really great. Perfect in fact. They DO NOT need fillers.
And I'd say that anyone who agreed to inject fillers into them would not be a reputable beautician/aesthetician.

MistyCloud · 23/11/2019 23:05

FUCK ME SIDEWAYS!

@nurseyn You are beautiful! [shocked]

I mean.. seriously soooooooooooo pretty.

I beg you PLEASE do not alter than pretty stunning face Flowers

PLEASE DO NOTHING!!!!!!! Not to your lips. Do nothing. You are stunning!

Pumpkinpie1 · 23/11/2019 23:06

I was shopping today and saw a very attractive (almost )lady who had had this done . From the side on she looked like a pouting fish so obviously fake.
You really don’t need this procedure

Tartyflette · 23/11/2019 23:08

And I speak as someone who has had Botox (just for the wrinkles at the outer corners of my eyes.)
It was ok but didn't make a great deal of difference and was hardly worth the money, tbh.

MeTheCoolOne · 23/11/2019 23:11

OP, you are very, very pretty and your lips are lovely too. I don’t think much of your relative though. What a cow she is.

You mention that you have gained weight, if you are unhappy with the weight gain would that be something you could look at instead of your lips? That’s something you could try to tackle by yourself and something that might make you feel a lot more confident. If you are happy with the weight gain then obviously you can ignore my suggestion.

CodenameVillanelle · 23/11/2019 23:13

Your face is GORGEOUS. Please don't screw with it.

MarshaBradyo · 23/11/2019 23:15

If you feel bad about how you look you’re missing a trick. You pretty much have the nicest looking face as it is. Don’t do anything.

MeTheCoolOne · 23/11/2019 23:16

OP, google ‘actresses with thin upper lips’. You will see lots of very beautiful women who dont have evenly balanced lips.

MistyCloud · 23/11/2019 23:16

Seriously @nurseyn Cute face, lovely eyes, nice teeth, great lips, nice skin, stunning smile, cute shape face. WOW.

It makes me a little sad that you feel the need to alter this in ANY way.

ANNNND!

It's clear this person saying you should alter yourself is sooooo jealous of you ! Grin

Seriously, you are SO pretty. ❤️❤️❤️
