AIBU about Angel Delight?

I think layering different flavours of Angel Delight would be nice. DH thinks the flavours should be kept separated, to maintain their integrity.

I'm referring to banana, chocolate and butterscotch. Not strawberry. Even I wouldn't go that far.

Don't @ me if you don't like Angel Delight. We couldn't be friends.

I think it's a possible but I think the banana one has to go in the middle...chocolate at the bottom obviously

RadishesAndLentils · 23/11/2019 20:06

I think it would be classy. Do it in a glass bowl so you can see the layers. Add sprinkles.

KitKat1985 · 23/11/2019 20:07

I think it certainly needs to be tried.
And that you need to upload a photo when you've finished.

Pilipilihoho · 23/11/2019 20:07

I think layering chocolate is also a little barbaric - vanilla, butterscotch and banana, though...

Thunderpunt · 23/11/2019 20:07

And none of your low/no sugar shit varieties either

Venger · 23/11/2019 20:07

Not sprinkles, crushed up Flake instead

FizzyIce · 23/11/2019 20:08

Nooo just fuel fat strawberry OR banana.. not together and no toppings . Just the creamy ,fruity, slightly salty goodness

StarlingsInSummer · 23/11/2019 20:08

She we were little, we’d have strawberry jelly with strawberry angel delight on top. You had to wait for the jelly to set first, obviously, then add the angel delight, and wait for THAT to set. It was worth it!

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 23/11/2019 20:08

I've made two types before and let people choose their flavours. We add fruit, cream and sprinkles too.

We've always considered it a fun way to have a calcium boost for the DC

Zampa · 23/11/2019 20:09

Ooh, sprinkles and crushed up Flake! Grin.

I have some squirty cream but that's next level thinking. Brava!

My OH introduced me to butterscotch Angel Delight with chopped pear in it. Game changer. I'm all for Angel Delight experimentation!

EskewedBeef · 23/11/2019 20:10

I'm not keen on any fusion cuisine. Don't ruin the butterscotch with any of those inferior flavours.

Shahlalala · 23/11/2019 20:10

I had forgotten about Angel
Delight and quite fancy a bit now.
Dairy and soya free though for DS st current, which I imagine it isn’t.

I’ll bide my time....

PhannyMcNee · 23/11/2019 20:12

Only ever butterscotch. And our latest addition, bashed up IKEA mini Daim bar sprinkles. You know you want to Wink

As an aside, does anyone else call it ‘instant whip’? Dh thinks I’m a freak for that...

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 23/11/2019 20:15

I love Angel Delight, but it has to be pure... just one flavour at a time. I would never, ever, mix up the flavours by layering - and it would be unavoidable.

Do they still make Peach AD? I haven't seen it for ages.

StCharlotte · 23/11/2019 20:17

We mix banana and butterscotch to get banoffee. I'd never thought about layering. Until now...

Cornishmum00 · 23/11/2019 20:18

Chocolate Angel delight with dream topping and sprinkles/ flake is good

WoodyandLol · 23/11/2019 20:20

Butterscotch is marvellous... could definitely get on board with some layering!

StCharlotte · 23/11/2019 20:20

Your DH is right. Instant Whip was a different product. But same sort of thing I think?

Hugtheduggee · 23/11/2019 20:20

Maybe some chocolate cheesecake base at the bottom as well.

Evilmorty · 23/11/2019 20:21

No. I only eat Ge butterscotch and banana and I can sort of see how putting them together would work but for some reason I couldn’t. It could ruin two perfectly good angel delights.

BarkandCheese · 23/11/2019 20:21

No, not for me. I’m a butterscotch purist, no additions, no alterations, no other flavours thank you very much.

MyOtherProfile · 23/11/2019 20:22

I think more than two flavours would be tacky. Two would be perfect. With squirty cream and sprinkles.

mynameiscalypso · 23/11/2019 20:22

I had an ex who did this once (although it involved strawberry). It was the single best thing he did in our relationship.

Evilmorty · 23/11/2019 20:22

My OH introduced me to butterscotch Angel Delight with chopped pear in it.

What is this business 👀 I may have to get on that!
