To ask for the best twin names ever?

I have twin boys. I won't tell you their names but they are not related or themed. Think Dave and Tom rather than Jack and Daniel.

I do love hearing about twin names though and how different parents deal with it. Do you do obvious links, themes or just two completely different names?

My cousin has Belle and Beauty

My friend at work has Nathanial and Daniel which I always thought was a bit odd

DH's best mate has twins through his ex called Ruby and Tuesday Hmm

MsMustDoBetter · 08/10/2019 18:33

I can't say exactly, but two same sex identical twins in DD age 5s' s class have such similar names that it took DD three months to realise that there were two of them!

Think Emily and Amelie.

MockersthefeMANist · 08/10/2019 18:34

Euripides and Eyalripidose

DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 08/10/2019 18:34

Think my fave is Sam and Ella.

Brianna83 · 08/10/2019 18:37

My gran named my dad and aunt Dennis and Ennis...

kitk · 08/10/2019 18:38

@DontGoIntoTheLongGrass you've actually just blown my mind a bit. When I was pregnant with DD I wanted to call her Sam if she'd been a boy or Ella if she'd been a girl- the link never occurred to me before today- feel stupid now!

SavageBeauty73 · 08/10/2019 18:39

I have met twins called Ronnie and Reggie.

ElizaPancakes · 08/10/2019 18:39

I have twin boys called Luke and Jake, so that’s my favourite Grin. Have outed myself now though so need to name change!

Before birth they were variously:

Tom and Jerry
Bill and Ben
Lazy and Fidget Grin

ComtesseDeSpair · 08/10/2019 18:40

I quite like it when there’s something connecting the two, although it doesn’t have to be obvious. A former colleague had twin girls, Vitani and Bellona: both essentially mean warrior goddess in Swahili and Latin respectively.

Hederex · 08/10/2019 18:40

My twins have unrelated names. Two classic boy names.
I was partial to Thing 1 and Thing 2 at one point though.

whiskersonkittenss · 08/10/2019 18:40

Phil and Lil

OpiesOldLady · 08/10/2019 18:42

@babbi - are you in South Wales by chance? As i was once in soft play hell with a Dolce and Gabbana.

honeylulu · 08/10/2019 18:42

My sister au paired for a French family with twins called Oralie and Coralie. Apparently not an unusual pairing!

FiddlesticksAkimbo · 08/10/2019 18:42

If you have two cats, novelty/amusing names are fine. But not for darling children.
