To ask for the best twin names ever?

I have twin boys. I won't tell you their names but they are not related or themed. Think Dave and Tom rather than Jack and Daniel.

I do love hearing about twin names though and how different parents deal with it. Do you do obvious links, themes or just two completely different names?

I know (adult) twins called Christine and Christopher - both known as Chris!

Itsjustafly · 08/10/2019 18:49

I knew some twin boys called Jimmy and Diesel. They just totally 'don't go' to me. I don't even think it would work for siblings, never mind twins

JohnnyMcGrathSaysFuckOff · 08/10/2019 18:49

My twins' names are both v C19th in sound and classic, also I think they sound good together. No other connection though! Not a fan of matchy matchy names.

I used to work with someone who had a Luke and Leia...can't quite remember if they were twins or just siblings though.

My cousin had Craig and Greg. They’re Australian - say them with an Aussie accent....🤦🏻‍♀️

Ruby and Scarlet

Our twins are Dashiel and Thomas (Sunday names-Dash and Tom usually) and it took ages to decide. Ridiculous really as we had two other sons at the time, and have had two since, and we didn't pay nearly as much attention to whether names 'went together' when we had singles. And now I have thoroughly outed myself!

doodlejump1980 · 08/10/2019 19:00

Our twins answer to the following:
Their names
Mario and Luigi
Buzz and Woody! Just fun nicknames :)

SantanaBinLorry · 08/10/2019 19:01

Dipper and Mable

bloodywhitecat · 08/10/2019 19:01

Brielle and Briella, I mean why?

SlothRunner · 08/10/2019 19:02

I know a Wayne and Shane, and their older sister Charmaine. Cant remember which twin in which, so they both just get called Shwayne.

braw · 08/10/2019 19:04

I know of Calvin and Klein. I like a loose connection or similar feel to twin names but they won't always be together or referred to together so a proper pairing seems silly. Like Gabanna as an adult, sounds even sillier on its own. Plus you're naming kids not pets.

Afternoonteadelight · 08/10/2019 19:05

What’s unusual about grace &alice.?

AHintOfStyle · 08/10/2019 19:06

I was once on holiday and there was a family with 3 little ones age 1- 4 approx who were called Tilly, Billy & Milly
And an older brother of 17 who was called Jordan. I bet he was glad.

cleanasawhistle · 08/10/2019 19:06

Harry and Beau

Kanga83 · 08/10/2019 19:07

I know of teenager twins called Luna and Celestia . Both lovely names, both lovely girls, until you have a six year old who keeps sniggering that they are in fact 'my little pony' names when she sees them.

Twins I've known growing up and through the kids school are Sarah-Jane and Sally-Ann, Jack and Harry, Beatrix and Isobel, and Emily and William, Dmitri and Ivan.

JoeyJoJoJunior · 08/10/2019 19:08

@LushyMcLushFace I used to work with someone with a Luke, Leia & Jed!

ohmysoul · 08/10/2019 19:08

I know twins called Jacob and Nathaniel. Also Sophie and Amber. 8 think they're both lovely pairings.
