To ask for the best twin names ever?

I have twin boys. I won't tell you their names but they are not related or themed. Think Dave and Tom rather than Jack and Daniel.

I do love hearing about twin names though and how different parents deal with it. Do you do obvious links, themes or just two completely different names?

Not twins but a sibling group I came across....

Jordan, Jorja, Jenna, Jemma.....

All adults now... No idea how they sort out post...

mamaduckbone · 08/10/2019 20:19

Some of these are amazing! I've met lots of sets of twins but none have had matching names.
I was at school with a Chloe and Abbie which I think is a particularly lovely combo.

When my SIL was expecting twins we had so much fun coming up with awful pairings though. Chelsea was quite a popular name at the time so Chelsea and MarbleArch were our favourites for a while...Grin(They have very lovely classic names in reality)

I've name changed for this. There are twins in my family 'Nadia' (after the Olympic gymnast from the 70s) and 'Talya', which I think is Eastern European. I've also encountered girl twins called Cara and Breesha through playgroup. I think naming twins must be really tricky, people expect something great!

I went to school with identical twins Shona and Sheena. However Sheena sensibly decided to go by her middle name - Michelle.

BritWifeinUSA · 08/10/2019 20:24

I work with a woman named Jill. She’s one of twins and the other twin is....Jack. I thought she was making it up when she told me.

TreeLinedMotorway · 08/10/2019 20:25

I don’t know if it was an urban myth or not but I heard a story years ago of a vicar who refused to christen twins called Kate and Duplikate.

UnoriginalUserName948 · 08/10/2019 20:25

I knew of twins called Will and Ben (Well, William and Benjamin, but they went by Will and Ben).
I knew sisters (not twins) called Anna and Hannah.
Just why...

@LondonHuffyPuffy I know a Colette and Claudette too (their dad is called Claud as well)

Also knew a Jack and Daniel - however Daniel was shortened to Danny - and being a Londoner this is unfortunate when it comes to rhyming slang - don’t think the mother ever realised

Ilikecheese789 · 08/10/2019 20:32

DHs cousin has Jasmine and Jasper.
I went to school with Constantine (who I lusted after from afar) and Constanza. This is in the U.K. I was so enchanted by them, yet if a friend now named DTs that way I might think it was rather try hard. They were such beautiful teens, I wonder what they are doing now.

LadyAndiBella · 08/10/2019 20:35

Also I knew Brid (girl) and Brian

mable25 · 08/10/2019 20:36
