Correctly addressed to our house. Inside just the brief note, and two feathers. I'm pretty sure it's not meant for anyone here, no return address, very curious about its meaning though.

What do they say? Can't read them

sittingonacornflake · 03/08/2019 18:09

What. The. Hell. 😂

MrsMozartMkII · 03/08/2019 18:10

Eh?

Nope. Have read it and it makes no sense whatsoever... Confused

Tingface · 03/08/2019 18:11

Ok that’s a bit freaky!

CastleCrasher · 03/08/2019 18:11

It's hard to make out some of the writing but it looks like a kids prank. Is there a Katrina at your address or nearby?

HybridTheories · 03/08/2019 18:13

"Not the white feathers used in world war 1 but thinking about it if they spent more time pleasing themselves there might be slightly less bloodshed?"

Can't really make out the rest.
White flowers were used in WW1.. given to men walking down the street who "weren't brave enough" to sign up to the army.
Doesn't sound like a prank, probably just got the wrong house.

iklboo · 03/08/2019 18:13

White feathers were given out in WW1 for suspected cowardice - men not enlisting.

Patroclus · 03/08/2019 18:13

Just a letter meant for somebody else. Guessing they like rare feathers, Great War history and Katrina Makes Waves (an old shit 80s band)

BettySundaes · 03/08/2019 18:14

It is difficult to read, also doesn't make much sense - except maybe to the intended recipient.

I do not know any Katrina's anywhere!

OP posts:
iklboo · 03/08/2019 18:14

I think it says 'pleasuring' rather than pleasing though.

Witchend · 03/08/2019 18:14

That looks vaguely threatening to me.
Do you know any Katrinas?

It's accusing the receiver of cowardice or pleasuring themselves.

Unless you think you might know who it is though and feel they're a threat, I can't see it really being anything you need to worry about though.

iklboo · 03/08/2019 18:15

I'm wondering if someone thinks somebody at your house is having an affair with Katrina.

BettySundaes · 03/08/2019 18:16

It looks more like a capital "I" at the end of WW to me - but World War 1 makes sense.

Wasn't it Katrina and the Waves?

OP posts:
IceAndASlice123 · 03/08/2019 18:16

Wrong house to me. Sounds like they are referring to something from the past. I don't see anything sinister in it

Coffeeandchocolate9 · 03/08/2019 18:17

"Not the white feathers used in WW1 but if they'd have spent more time pleasuring themselves there might have been less bloodshed"

Are they suggesting that had people just stayed at home and wanked with feathers then there would have been less people killed in the war?!

Igmum · 03/08/2019 18:17

Very odd. Yes, white feathers were given to 'cowards' in the 1WW but I don't see the links to Katrina and the Waves. Suspect it is something suggestive that I really don't understand

BettySundaes · 03/08/2019 18:17

I also read "pleasing" as "pleasuring" which makes it somewhat more kinky!

OP posts:
MorgueDweller · 03/08/2019 18:18

Have you got a local fb group you can post it on, see if anyone has any idea/kniws Katrina?

Spam88 · 03/08/2019 18:20

Sounds kinky to me 😂 get pleasuring yourself with those feathers OP!

And it is a capital I after world war...that's how the world wars are written no..? WWI and WWII?

BettySundaes · 03/08/2019 18:21

I shall be looking at my neighbours with renewed interest now .

It is most likely just wrong door number on the address - but no name to help identify intended recipient.

OP posts:
Evilmorty · 03/08/2019 18:22

Is there someone who lives near you who looks like Katrina from Katrina and the waves? Might be a mad local neighbour thinking they are hilarious.

Evilmorty · 03/08/2019 18:23

We have nicknames for our neighbours so maybe he’s calling one Katrina?

BettySundaes · 03/08/2019 18:24

Feathers have already been consigned to the bin - who knows what they might have been used for.

OP posts:
iklboo · 03/08/2019 18:25

I don't think they're referencing Katrina & The Waves. They've said Katrina Makes Waves, which is probably their idea of a pun. No idea what Katrina On Cleaning is about though.

PancakeAndKeith · 03/08/2019 18:26

Was there a name on the envelope?
