Correctly addressed to our house. Inside just the brief note, and two feathers. I'm pretty sure it's not meant for anyone here, no return address, very curious about its meaning though.

Katrina the Cleaner...

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 04/08/2019 18:18

Ah, if it's hiya, then that's from a woman, especially with the two kisses at the end
Well that, or someone trying to write how they think a woman would write, to throw us off the scent! This is exactly the kind of note that gets sent in Midsomer Murders. I don’t like it I tell ye, I don’t like it at all. (Said in the manner of John Laurie from Dad’s Army)

popehilarious · 04/08/2019 18:20

I assumed it was "Katrina minus Waves" ie a person called Katrina, not the backing band. Bit like "Florence minus machine" or "Marina minus diamonds"

Grandadwasthatyou · 04/08/2019 18:21

Sounds like the incoherent ramblings of a mentally unstable person or a dementia sufferer to me.

rediredi · 04/08/2019 18:26

Maybe it’s a mysterious package game I heard about-basically someone buys you a gift of getting mysterious parcels to solve a puzzle. Any chance you had a birthday recently and a gaming habit?

Shhhhh223 · 04/08/2019 18:30

I’ve got the theme tune for midsummer murders in my head 😂

Shhhhh223 · 04/08/2019 18:32

Judashascomeintosomemoney..great minds lol

GermaineBunbury · 04/08/2019 18:37

If it's any help those are parakeet feathers.

MissConductUS · 04/08/2019 18:45

It's either from someone with MH issues or a Russian dead drop message left in the wrong place. The crow flies at midnight, etc. All code you see. Grin

SoupDragon · 04/08/2019 18:49

Has you cat got into their aviary?

That's what I thought.

starfishmummy · 04/08/2019 18:56

Someone has sent some coloured feathers to someone and got the wrong house.

Funguy · 04/08/2019 18:58

I don't think you should chuck this out... if anything else happens you won;t have the stuff to show the cops! Bloody weirdos

Funguy · 04/08/2019 19:01

PS are they claiming that if people wanked more, wars would not occur? Because although that may be true due to exhaustion, it is neither historically accurate, nor the usual pursuit of conscientious objectors although I do know a few Quakers I could call wankers.

justasking111 · 04/08/2019 19:01

It could be the right address but someone who lived there decades ago and an elderly person who is confused has sent it.

jagack · 04/08/2019 19:03

Looks like it's been written in a gel pen.
Haven't seen one of those in years

NobodysChild · 04/08/2019 19:10

It's a pensioner blaming your cat for getting their birds. If the cat had spent less time pleasuring itself,(cleaning), there would have been less bloodshed.

Branster · 04/08/2019 19:15

OMK NobodysChikd this is it! Cat - Katrina, the feathers come from the birds murdered by OP’s cat.

buttertoasty · 04/08/2019 19:18

GirlsBlouse17 · 04/08/2019 19:32

The name Katrina means "pure"

Isitweekendyet · 04/08/2019 19:40

Feathers in WW1 represented cowardice. Women used to give them to young men in the street who they thought should have been at the front.

My Nana used to tell me her fifteen year old dad was given one and subsequently joined up to fight.

Are they calling Katrina a coward?

Wtf.

Pretty feathers though!

GirlsBlouse17 · 04/08/2019 19:49

I think we may end up winning Dusty Bin 🤣

YourSarcasmIsDripping · 04/08/2019 19:50

Innocent explanation.

Receiver is some kind of artist looking for inspiration for a WWI piece. The sender only had these, not the white ones, which the receiver might want to keep or use in different pieces of art (KMV or KOC).

Doubleraspberry · 04/08/2019 19:54

I do believe, eight pages in, that we may claim to have the original meaning of ‘white feather’ pretty much understood.

Cecilandsnail · 04/08/2019 19:57

Another poster has said the same, but it's so obviously someone passing on feathers to a friend for use for kinky purposes, following a conversation about it. The sender is saying these are NOT ww1 feathers to indicate cowardice as they would have been historically received, and makes comment that had feathers been used for sexual play by soldiers in the past instead of going to war there would have been less bloodshed. They are so blatantly a pacifist and it's not menacing or accusing in the slightest!!! The Katrinas are names (probably code names) for two women the recipient is seeing. The sender is saying use them both yourself of have one each, one for you and one for one of the Katrinas, depending on who they will be shared with.
