How does everyone handle bathroom towels? Does everyone in family have their own towel? Or do you all share whatever towels are in the bathroom?

We share but I get them properly dry, preferably outside, every day. Visitors get fresh towel and facecloth that gets washed when they leave.

FuzzyPuffling · 07/06/2019 10:59

We (DH and I) have one each.

BooksAreMyOnlyFriends · 07/06/2019 11:00

We all have our own main towel, changed twice weekly, and share hand towels, changed daily.

hedgehoglurker · 07/06/2019 11:01

Individual towels washed weekly.

blushmelikeyou · 07/06/2019 11:02

We all have our individual shower/bath towels and share hand towels. Changed 2/3 times a week.

MissKittyBeaudelais · 07/06/2019 11:04

Each have our own. All towels are grey but we have different greys 😉

TheInebriati · 07/06/2019 11:12

We have separate, colour coded towels atm because we have 2 different types of lurgy. Lurgy towels get a hot wash in bio powder after each use.
My worst nightmare is a visitor catching both lurgies.

Badabingbadabum · 07/06/2019 11:14

Bath towel each, use two a week. Hand towel changed every couple of days. Face cloth for me I change every two days, cloth in the shower change every three or so. All go on a hot was with tea towels and stuff a couple of times a week.

I never know where to keep used towels though, they just end up in a heap in the corner of the landing. I need a tall, slim laundry basket

LakieLady · 07/06/2019 11:20

Each have our own, hand and bath towels.

I wash mine every couple of weeks, because I just wrap mine round myself and stroll about in it till I'm dry, so it bafrely gets damp and doesn't get bits of skin or anything yucky on it.

DP's get washed weekly, because he seems to get them filthy and leaves them all scrunched up on the towel rail so they don't air properly, plus he appears to use them to blot shaving cuts.

As I don't touch his towels, it doesn't bother me how yucky they are.

NunoGoncalves · 07/06/2019 11:24

We each have our own bath towels and we share one hand towel. They all get washed every week or two.

julensaor · 07/06/2019 11:24

everyone shares, kids and adults

SparklesandFlowers · 07/06/2019 11:27

Towel each, washed weekly. Visitors get fresh and the hand towel gets changed regularly.

PestoSnowissimos · 07/06/2019 11:29

Separate towels washed weekly or more often if deemed necessary.

ZippyBungleandGeorge · 07/06/2019 11:29

We all have our own, I don't want to inadvertently dry my face with the bit DH used to dry his balls/arse. He says it's important to get right between the cheeks, like bum flossing 🤢 (not envy)

RiftGibbon · 07/06/2019 11:30

Separate towels for swimming. In general use, a towel each, washed weekly. Visitors get fresh towels.

ZippyBungleandGeorge · 07/06/2019 11:31

We do share a hand towel and they go in the wash every two days, bath towels two or three times a week

janetforpresident · 07/06/2019 11:32

We have one out per person and change after about 3 uses. I do sometimes forget which is mine and use DH's and think we all do that really.

Gth1234 · 07/06/2019 11:32

I change mine every two weeks, whether or not its dirty. :)

CassianAndor · 07/06/2019 11:33

own baths towel. washed every couple of weeks or so. Shared hand towel.

Aus84 · 07/06/2019 11:34

All have our own washed every two days. It's taken me a while to train them to not take my towel, so so gross.

Itstheprinciple · 07/06/2019 11:34

All have our own bath towels. They all match but we have our own place on the towel rail so we know whose is whose. We have a communal towel to put down on the floor as a bath mat and also a communal hand towel. All get washed weekly.

woodhill · 07/06/2019 11:35

Have our own bath sheet and I have a hair towel. Washed weekly

Queenunikitty · 07/06/2019 11:35

We all have our own bathrooms with own towels and bath mats washed weekly at 95 degrees.

Ginkypig · 07/06/2019 11:36

We have our own towels. When the adult kids stay they have towels which I keep just for them so they also have their own towels too.

There is a "public" hand towel but that's only to dry hands after washing them to be honest though I still normally use my own towel.

There are a few other towels that none of us really use unless in the rare circumstance that our towel isn't finished being washed yet and those normally only gets used for guests.

CassianAndor · 07/06/2019 11:37

I', glad that lots of people are wash weekly or fortnightly on here.

Washing towels that have been used to dry a clean body every 2-3 days is completely unnecessary.
