to be super puzzled why my elbow stinks

what on earth...... I am clean. I am always clean. However for the past few days my right elbow (the crook of it) has been omitting a god awful stench. I can't wash it off. It is foul.

It smells like feet and rot and awfulness. There is no broken skin, it just looks like a normal elbow. WTF.

why is this happening? anyone got any ideas? soap isn't doing anything!

No idea but totally intrigued. Can you smell it anywhere else? You could try vinegar on cotton wool to wipe it off. But it might then smell of vinegar Grin

Def no red or itch or dryness? I would have guessed a fungal infection but if the skin looks completely fine I don't think it can be that.

Have you been wearing something made of leather? Jacket, handbag, something with straps? Sometimes I find that leather that gets wet can smell rank.

I can touch the inside of my elbow with my nose. Pretty easy to smell it.

Could it be a hormonal change causing it (I blame the menopause for everything including when one of my armpits briefly smelled like an old mans armpit!)

Are you sure you aren't catching blow back from your breath? If you breath in to cupped hands (your own!) Can you still smell it?

It's likely to be fungal, it's an area that's warm and can stay moist from sweat. My GM had it before on her neck 🤮
