to be super puzzled why my elbow stinks

what on earth...... I am clean. I am always clean. However for the past few days my right elbow (the crook of it) has been omitting a god awful stench. I can't wash it off. It is foul.

It smells like feet and rot and awfulness. There is no broken skin, it just looks like a normal elbow. WTF.

why is this happening? anyone got any ideas? soap isn't doing anything!

Also, why were you smelling your elbow-crook in the first place? Or is it so whiffy you sort of traced the smell to there?

I also put my nose inside my elbow. Nothing untoward to report.

Op, when I had the beginnings of a sinus infection, I kept going round the house repeating, “ Don’t you all smell that?” I kept getting whiffs of rotting garbage on a July day in Florida.

So relieved my elbow smells fine. Sorry op I've never heard of this before

Could be a sweaty thing and a dash of medicated talc will see it off, I sometimes get a delightful foul stench if I get really sweaty under my boobs.

Yes! It smells like a horrible belly button or toejam.

it is not my breath because my other elbow smells fine.

Maybe it's fungal. It's fucking awful though.

I dont dare ask DH. Its too gross.

The smelly elbow has been no more or less covered than the non smelly one.

Just double sniffed, all OK at hohofortherobbers, hope you find the source of the stench, have you tried an old school soap, like shield?

What if you wiped your smellbow with hydrogen peroxide?

Just sniffed the inside of my elbow (for scientific reasons). It smelled unexpectedly nice. I don’t use perfume and am haphazard about moisturising.

I’d wash it with antibacterial soap or gel and dust it with athletes foot powder

Neither of mine smell by the way. I’m intrigued as to whether anyone else has a nasty (or nice) smelling elbow.

Have you had a cut or anything recently in that area that has healed up? It could have healed on the surface but be infected in the tissues underneath. The puss will be traoed under the skin and you don't always get any irritation until it gets much worse.
