Eh ok. I don't think it tastes anything like gin, but if you like it you go for it.

I mean... if I wanted juice I could probably just spend 46p on some diluting juice.

I like seedlip. It’s a passable substitute for a g&t when it’s all mixed with ice.

I'll grant you it looks like it because both gin and seedlip are clear fluids, but it certainly doesn't smell like it or taste like it.

I tried this! Ordered it at Zizzi one time and the waitress talked me out of it but gave me a free shot to taste....do NOT recommend! Tastes like warm water mildy flavoured with lemon and grass

Depends what you consider real gin bluntness I usually have Bombay sapphire but I have tried Hendricks and Gordon's etc.... I didn't post for snide remarks ... I had a Seedlip in a pub recently, can't remember which variety but it tasted a bit like peas to me. I was really disappointed, I so wanted to like it!

£26 for alcohol free gin?! Madness.

It’s alright in an aromatic sort of a way but it doesn’t taste like gin. It doesn’t have any juniper for a start.

I would, however, love to see a defence of their pricing. It costs the same as a mid-range bottle of gin, but approx 60% of the purchase price of that gin is duty and VAT which isn’t payable on water and flavourings. I suspect that the high price point is part of a branding strategy.

And thoroughly pointless too. Its Simply flavoured water. You'd be better buying a 99 p bottle of something else and adding it to tonic and pretending.

I love seedlip. It really saved me when I was pregnant. I really hate sweet drinks and struggled with what to have instead of alcohol.

I am currently pregnant so obviously wouldn't have "real" gin .... I don't like anything sweet and I don't see the difference in terms of money the cost is irrelevant if you enjoy the drink

Would recommend Bees Knees sparkling alcohol free wine. It's delicious and mega cheap.

I think you're getting a hard time on here tbh. I agree with PP that seedlip doesn't taste at all like gin (IMO) and that it's very expensive. But I can absolutely understand the want to have something that feels like an adult drink but is alcohol free.

I tried it once in Jojo Maman Bébé when I was pregnant - I wasn't particularly keen on it and I didn't think it tasted like gin. If I'd liked it I would probably have been prepared to pay £26 for it though - I'm a bit of a marketeer's dream...
