Don't want to make this a TAAT, so I'll just say I have enjoyed everyone's observations on the royal family and it's made a boring weekend go much quicker Grin

Please continue if you wish to......

Why are people so sensitive. I'm allowed to voice an opinion.

FannyWork · 29/04/2019 20:28

Bet Princess Michael is pissed.

I hope so. I really can’t bear her. That brooch thing at the party for Meghan, the Blackamoor was just so foul and horrible. That woman has extensive knowledge of history, antiques and art and knew exactly what she was doing. I generally don’t have much time for people who find offensive in everything but that was proper old fashioned nasty racism.

MagicKingdomDizzy · 29/04/2019 20:29

Kate definitely doesn't have as much charisma. I think you either have it or you don't, coaching can only do so much.

Butterymuffin · 29/04/2019 20:30

Of course you are. I just thought it was an unpleasant and stupid opinion and I'm also allowed to say that. Smile

MagicKingdomDizzy · 29/04/2019 20:30

FannyWork No one ever seems to have anything nice to say about her or her husband!

No doubt one of the fawners will leap in to slag me off but if I'm dismissive (mrscampbellblack) then it's because I find the targeting and pursuing of William at St Andrews a little clinical and the waiting around for ten years not - or barely - in employment so that she could 'be available' for William, and not taking the hint when he clearly wanted to move on somehow demeaning. I'm not sure that it should demean all women everywhere but it demeans Kate, so if William strays then it really shouldn't come as any surprise. That, I suppose, is what you get for that type of behaviour.

MissParple · 29/04/2019 20:32

Princess Michael is the pits. Remember she had a run in with some diners in an American restaurant? She came across as a total twat. Hadn't heard about the brooch thing, will google that.

MagicKingdomDizzy · 29/04/2019 20:32

We're almost at 1000 posts, don't get it shut down now! Grin

Kate's accent is ridiculous. So affected. She's twice as plummy as the actual RF.

This.

She just comes across as absolutely horrid.

It'll be interesting to see how Gabriella's wedding comes across. You can bet her mother wants it to be as royal as possible.

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 29/04/2019 20:34

@FannyWork yes, a very cheap and stupid shot by Princess Michael. I bet she's the MiL from hell, too.

I don't think Kate is unintelligent. Isn't she meant to be quite naturally shy? That plus being a technically "opinionless" royal -and a blow in at that - just means she keeps her trap shut.

MagicKingdomDizzy · 29/04/2019 20:34

goodbyestranger

I like Kate, but I agree the targeting and laser beam type campaign to get him between her and her mother puts me off her a bit!

What's wrong with Kate's accent? Sounds like a normal Berkshire accent to me.

Not like Harper Beckham - that accent is weird to me.

goodbyestranger · 29/04/2019 20:35

Kate's accent is beyond ridiculous.

Seconded. It's the false boarding school voice and incredibly nouveau.

Kate's accent is fine, I've heard far posher & fake posher.

Saavhi · 29/04/2019 20:37

I'm from Berkshire. No one sounds like that.

MissParple · 29/04/2019 20:37

But wouldn't it be difficult to attend an English public school and not emerge with an accent like that? I suppose at the other end of the scale is Guy Ritchie with his 'cor blimey, guvnor'-ness even though he's an old Etonian.

OVienna · 29/04/2019 20:38

Fascinating and tragic. All in her own voice. My Goodness, she was posh.

DSHathawayGivesMeFannyGallops · 29/04/2019 20:38

She wouldn't be where she is if Wills hadn't been interested though. Whether he found it convenient above all else or not, he had to find her bearable. I think he's married the right person for the long haul.

Also we should start thread 3.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 29/04/2019 20:39

To be far MM's accent as changed a bit too.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 29/04/2019 20:40

I mean to be fair & has changed a bit.

MagicKingdomDizzy · 29/04/2019 20:41

Dianas voice was perfection.

Here comes the next thread....
