... not only that, he’s threatening treason charges on those who investigated him.

Thanks TheClaws.

SuperSara · 22/04/2019 08:36

YABU. Or maybe YANBU.

What is the question?

PerkingFaintly · 22/04/2019 08:45

Well, Trump's right about one thing: the MSM does lie.Grin

Especially large swathes of it owned by Rupes... but then again, that's not news.

Roussette · 22/04/2019 09:08

Thank you claws

lionheart · 22/04/2019 09:14

Thanks Claws--this one might be even more eventful than the last.

PerkingFaintly · 22/04/2019 09:33

Thought we should actually have some of the Mueller Report on the thread. Here's part of the executive summary to volume 1. www.justice.gov/storage/report.pdf

p5
Russian Contacts with the Campaign
The social media campaign and the GRU hacking operations coincided with a series of contacts between Trump Campaign officials and individuals with ties to the Russian government. The Office investigated whether these contacts reflected or resulted in the Campaign conspiring or coordinating with Russia in its election-interference activities. Although the investigation established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome, and that the Campaign expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts, the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities.
[…]
The Special Counsel’s Charging Decisions
p9
Third, the investigation established that several individuals affiliated with the Trump Campaign lied to the Office, and to Congress, about their interactions with Russian-affiliated individuals and related matters, Those lies materially impaired the investigation of Russian election interference.
[…]
p10
Even when individuals testified or agreed to be interviews, they sometimes provided information which was false or incomplete, leading to some of the false-statement charges described above. And the Office faced practical limits on its ability to access relevant evidence as well—numerous witnesses and subjects lived abroad, and documents were held outside the United States.

Further, the Office learned that some of the individuals we interviewed or whose conduct we investigated—including some associated with the Trump Campaign—deleted relevant communications or communicated during the relevant period using applications that feature encryption or that do not provide for long-term retention of data or communications records. [...]

Accordingly, while this report embodies factual and legal determinations that the Office believes to be accurate and complete to the greatest extent possible, given these identified gaps, the Office cannot rule out the possibility that the unavailable information would shed additional light on (or cast in a new light) the events described in the report.

Hello everyone, reporting for duty on the new thread😁
thanks for the Muller report excerpts @Perking👍

Roussette · 22/04/2019 11:00

I agree.... this thread may well be a rollercoaster. I'll kick it off with this Grin

I've always wondered about Trump's dilated pupils... it looks like when my optician purposely dilates my pupils to examine the back of the eye, not the case with him.

Roussette, fair enough if you want to believe that nonsense!

Meanwhile President Trump is making America great again

Oh, I thought you were being ironic posting that NY Post front page, FiremanKing.

No one who's actually read the Mueller report could say "Trump clean" with a serious face. Or describe Russian interference in the US election as a "Dem hoax."

Are you hoping people just won't read it?Grin

Hearhere · 22/04/2019 11:15

I think we can be pretty sure that trump will never read it

TheClaws · 22/04/2019 11:44

You can bet FiremanKing hasn’t read it Smile

FiremanKing hahaha Grin. Trump making American great again... you're having a larf, his approval ratings don't show that...but he has broken records with the national debt of £22 trillion, I'll give you that Grin

PerkingFaintly · 22/04/2019 12:25

So FiremanKing, what do you think of the Mueller Report revealing that Trump's own aides just ignore his orders?

PerkingFaintly · 22/04/2019 12:28

Mueller: "The President's efforts to influence the investigation were mostly unsuccessful, but that is largely because the persons who surrounded the President declined to carry out orders or accede to his requests."

www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/gop-spening-on-trump-properties-47-million_n_5cbbff27e4b032e7ceb93b9e

'Republicans — candidates, members of Donald Trump-supporting super PACS and the Republican National Committee — have spent a total of at least $4.7 million dollars at Trump’s properties since he became president, according to the latest federal financial filings.

The properties include Trump International Hotel in Washington, golf resorts, other hotels and restaurants. Much of expenditures came from donations to Trump’s own election and re-election campaigns.'

eu.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2019/04/19/mueller-report-trump-commander-in-chief-russia-oath-column/3506216002/

'The president of the United States, like all elected officials and public servants, swears to uphold and defend the Constitution against all enemies. But there is one responsibility the president must bear alone, and that is the obligation to act as the commander in chief, the guardian of our national security and the defender of our nation from malevolent foreign powers. The Mueller report makes clear that Donald Trump has failed miserably in this sacred obligation, and instead has traded his constitutional duty for his own safety.

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s conclusions laid to rest some — but not all — of the legal issues surrounding the Russian attempts to subvert our democratic processes. As the report notes, Mueller’s team could not find a specific agreement between the Trump campaign and the Russian government to cooperate in an operation against American institutions.

For this, we should be grateful, but that’s about as far as the good news goes.'

cozietoesie · 22/04/2019 13:24

Thanks, Claws.
