Mm, I disagree with that unrolled Twitter thread. Legal definitions of "criminal" do matter.

What the Mueller report does show is that, regardless of whether Trump meets the narrow legal definition of criminal obstruction (where IIUC he had to believe there was a crime in the first instance rather than just wrongdoing), Trump certainly attempted multiple times to obstruct the Russia investigation.

It's all about interpretation, isn't it? Absent Mueller making that prosecutorial judgement, people are free to pick and choose and interpret it however they want. It's so frustrating. You can see clearly that Scrotus obstructed on numerous occasions both by commission and omission, yet the Repugs just shout 'no collusion' and completely disregard what doesn't fit their narrative. It makes me sick. At this point, after spending the morning screaming at the telly, I've decided that all I can do is sit back and let the House do whatever it's going to do. And keep informed, of course.

Setting aside whether any acts met the narrow definition of a crime, this is how Trump behaves to the country that carried out those dirty deeds and attacked the US elections – all so well documented as you say, Hearhere.

This alone sinks him.

I haven’t read through the report yet - just the highlights - and I’m sceptical as yet that Trump will answer for anything soon, sadly.

Meanwhile, his 2020 campaign team put out the cheery tweet (make sure to read the text in the image.) It would seem retribution is about to begin.

Absolutely everything that trump does is spin and taking the piss, he's as bent as a dog's hind leg, fundamentally constitutionally dyed-in-the-wool dishonest and corrupt.
He's vile, reprehensible and yet fascinating, I do feel as if he could somehow get away with it, as if he has a supernatural instinct for making sure that those surrounding him are compromised in precisely and exactly the right way, he somehow is able to walk on water

I'm reading too many crime novels at the moment which makes my imagination go into overdrive!

I just imagine Trump gets dirt on those surrounding him - this is especially so for those who appeared to have a backbone a while ago. Look at Rosenstein standing there, not blinking, hating every minute. Then there's Lindsey Graham.. he called Trump crazy, he said he gets his foreign policy ideas from the carton network, and that Trump is absurd, dangerous and should go to hell. This was only just 3 years ago. Now he's his biggest arse licker. Someone must have something on him.

It feels as if he has some kind of magical hold over people but still can he withstand being exposed to the light like this, this calm sober setting out of all the events and all the facts?
