So I let an acquaintance borrow one of the slings from my embarrassingly large collection a while ago. Made it clear that I’d be wanting it back.
Fast forward a few months and I’m expecting another baby, so will be needing it. It one of the few on the market with a lower weight limit for tiny babies (suitable from 5lbs) and I make small babies, which is why it’s this specific sling I’ll be wanting for my new baby.
Asked the other day about getting it back, and she said “oh it’s I’ve packed it away somewhere but will look.”
Mentioned it to another friend who also knows her and said she’s pretty sure that it was being advertised on a Facebook selling site a while back
AIBU to call her out on it, and expect either my sling back or the money to replace it?!
Who does that? Borrows something from a friend and then flogs it on the sly?!!

Fingers crossed that she's saying it's sold because she's realised you want it back!

People are brazen cheeky fuckers, a friend of mine got a msg from ex demanding a new winter coat for child, he dutifully sent the ££, a week later I saw the coat; tags still in on a FB selling page saying child didn't like the colour!!, along with 'unwanted' xmas gifts.

Afineexample yes it was a screenshot with her name scribbled out. However with the name of the ad it was easy to find who the OP's talking about so I imagine that's why she has deleted it.

@BatFace1 I didn’t say a sling was a priceless item. As OP says she has a few slings she should just forget about the one that a CF stole?
So you’d be happy with someone stealing £40 worth of stuff from you?
Make up, food, shoes? Or is it ok cos it’s ONLY a sling.

or if she says she’s misplaced it open a group chat with her and all your mutual friends with the initial message of something like
‘Hi everyone, I’m asking for your help. A while back xxx borrowed a sling and now that I’m expecting again I’d like to track it down. Unfortuanatley xx has misplaced it. I wonder if maybe it’s left in someone’s house? If you’ve seen it please let me know. Thanks x’
